Pitt Villanova Game Thread, Its time

like the fact that canada didn't settle for 3 there.

-Nate Peterman has sucked this game. Some of his throws have not even been close

-Blewitt misses another chip shot, looks like the same kicker that sucked against Navy and Miami

-Outside of that, defense looks fantastic.

My hopes for second half:
1) Get Ollison and Moss involved. Ollison running and Mosd with sweeps.
2) Work the slot with quick throws: Lopes or Quad
3) Throw designed screen passes.
4) Sub DLine more: Camp, Watts, Allen Edwards.

I agree that we are putting too much of the offensive game plan on Peterman. He needs to be more of a manager:

Nate is the best we have, and its not even close with our terrible QB depth. Next year will be interesting.

20 pass attempts for 4.9 yard average per completion. 17 total rush attempts.

Conner on pace for almost 30 carries. Too many in first game back and one week before a huge game.

jc will have less carries in the 2nd half compared to first half. i'm assuming this game doesn't get real close on the scoreboard.

the staff definitely thought he needed the reps ahead of next week.

-Peterman fumbles and Villanova TD. Why does that not surprise anyone when he fumbled 8 times last year.

-Ready for TMAC.

our ol need a good kick in the ass. they read to many of their press clippings in the off season. they should be dominating the nova dl.

Very disappointing start from this OL. If PITT is going to rely on Orndoff for the majority of its posing yards, this offense is going to be very easy to prepare for.

Punter and kicker are questionable from us. We are intentionally running a vanilla offense as I predicted... so I'm not concerned about that too much, but clearly we don't have a second receiver stepping up in game one.

Ryan Lewis looks better than I thought

Galambos is a senior. Will he make a play before he graduates? Was spying the QB and lets him run for 17 on 3rd and 14

While I understand the offense is going with a basic set of plays this week, thereally are major concerns with this OL. Biz getting beat with regularity, same for O'Neil. Officer can't snap the ball to Peterman with consistency.

It's the opening game so I'm not super concerned with the slow start. I an slightly concerned that the O-Line seems to be getting pushed around by Nova.

It's the first week, and the DL for nova is pretty good, their number 92 player is going to get drafted pretty high this year

10 pass attempts to 7 running attempts. I thought we were going to run the ball 65% of the time?

So far about 35% rushing and 65% passing. Would love to have Rudolph calling plays. Canada seems worse than Chaney.
You thought that because you were buying the uninformed nonsense that Meat Curtain is continually spewing on this board.

He's a prime example of the phenomenon that if you say something loud enough and often enough, a certain segment of people will start to believe it's true, even when it isn't.

Could be worse, Mississippi State just lost to South Alabama. #SEC

Haha, that's rich

-This is the 3rd offensive coordinator in 3 years running compltely different plays. And while the offense looked sloppy, it looked like our offense didnt even try in the 2nd half. If you think our run game is going to struggle getting 100/yards the other 11 games this year, think again. 1 game means nothing and we won by 3 td's
