Pitt vs. BC Game Thread

Some people here say that Narduzzi is a whiner on the sidelines, but O’brien is the worst.

Tuned in today to watch them end the regular season on a high note. I’m starting to wonder.

For crissakes he was down

There’s zero reason to review at all

I wonder if what they were actually reviewing was whether he got the first down or not. Because they didn't say the call was confirmed, which it clearly would have been if they were looking to see if it was a fumble or not. They said that the call on the field stands, because they couldn't see if he made the first down for sure or not with the angles they had.

That explanation doesn't make any sense. They couldn't see that the ball hit him, so the call had to stand? Well if the ball did not, in fact, hit him you wouldn't be able to see it hitting him. So how is that why the call stood?

So now, instead of getting the ball in BC territory, we start on our own 14 yard line. Man, did Pitt get screwed.

And now they say that the ACC review people told them that was the reason. They couldn't see if the ball hit him or not so they assumed that it did.

That's just batshit crazy. That is not how replay is supposed to work.

New Pitt Mascot;
Converted on a third and long. Keep it going.
Is there a team in America that starts more series behind the sticks? It seems like every first down we lose 3,4, or 5 yards and start 2nd and 14. Simply stupid.

Cruzer

Doesn't matter , should have had the ball at the 30.
When we make a big play , the refs say they weren't ready lol.
Whats next.
Pitt is cursed. Soo sick of this insanity.

Well, the ACC gave a good CYA answer. If there is no clear cut evidence (according to them] that the ball did or did not hit a Pitt player first, they have to go with what was called on the field.

Seriously. Been like that for a while. Our offensive efficiency on first down is pathetic.

But that's not even a CYA answer. If you can't see that the ball hit him you can't assume that it did. There if is no video evidence that something happened you can only say that it didn't, not that it must have. There was no camera angle at all that showed that the ball hit him.

Why is it that I get nervous every time a QB from the opposite team throws a long pass?

Hey, we've got the right guy for the job. Duzz is the man. And one of our better recruits is visiting Missouri, so there might be an encore.

Enjoy 😉

Not going to argue with you, but they don’t have to prove the ball hit him, they just have to see if there is any video evidence to support either side…if not (once again, according to them), the call on the field stands.
