A bunch of head cases! There is no other way to explain this. Ever since we have heard that we are back, we have barely done more than show up for the game. They are physically present but mentally far, far away.
I turned it off, what happened? If Horton didn’t just quit the team I’m not so sure he’ll even be welcomed back.
I didn't see that play but more than likely not a good play. I'm talking about hedging at top of key pretty well, boxing out pretty well, hustling pretty well, just overall not hurting the team and playing smart minutes.Like launch a 3 point shot that made zero sense and had even less chance of going in?
Overall this season, I would agree. He’s done all that stuff very well. Considering the disadvantage he’s usually at, it’s even more impressive.I didn't see that play but more than likely not a good play. Technical on Horton and an ND player. Capel yelled something at Horton as he was walking towards the bench and Horton kept walking straight into the tunnel.I turned it off, what happened?
I've noticed Odukale get a little mouthy with teammates at times. Maybe he has slight attitude problem.Capel has lost this team
I turned it off, what happened?
Yep, he has not made necessary changes to his game to be a better point guardI keep hoping X will make better decisions and not force things. But after 70+ starts I just have to accept this is how he's gonna play.
Wake was never as bad as their record suggested. UNC had way more talent. Notre dame also not as bad as record suggested but this should not happen. But this is what happens when a team is unfocused, doesn’t shoot well, and the other team can’t miss. The lack of free throw attempts, the off balance shots, etc. I say play Max more. He wasn’t awful end of game. Play Gerald too. We can use any offense and if he finally wakes up offensively, better late than never. Not sure why but this team mailed it in after the Duke game. Hard to imagine them winning too many more games this season. Just look completely disinterested.
You gotta start to wonder about Capel too. I know the rebuild was difficult but the way his teams collapse down the stretch every year is a problem.

It clearly looks like losing is their goal, in which case that would be the best lineup change they could make to assure they never again win a single game.Play Gerald too.
Oh good god.
He barely hits glassSerious question, has Max hit the rim yet?
More Aidan Fisch. He CaN’t Be AnY wOrSe.
Was he ejected as a result of the technical?Technical on Horton and an ND player. Capel yelled something at Horton as he was walking towards the bench and Horton kept walking straight into the tunnel.

Hate to say it: can't wait until he's gone. I've seen enough. We need a real point guard.Yep, he has not made necessary changes to his game to be a better point guard
Was he ejected as a result of the technical?
After his total meltdown today -Hate to say it: can't wait until he's gone. I've seen enough. We need a real point guard.
No. And it’s unclear whether Capel was trying to actually say something to Horton and he ignored him, or Capel was actually telling him to just keep walking and not even take a seat on the bench. Was he ejected as a result of the technical?
Xavier , Horton , and Toney need to sit the first half the next game .
Capel was clearly fuming, the TV announcers stated he might have “helped persuade Horton to keep walking” (might not have been their exact words but to that point).
I think Capel told him to get his shine boxYeah, but since those guys were further away from Capel than most of us on this board are that was just a guess. They have absolutely no idea what Capel was saying.
If Horton didn’t just quit the team I’m not so sure he’ll even be welcomed back.
Yes but we had a lot of offensive board. That is because we missed so many shots. ND not so many OReb because they did not have many chances to get them. We also shot 80% from the line. That should have won the games for us.On the bright side, we outrebounded them
Calling Capel coach is is very much an overstatement, perhaps Mr. Capel is appropriate and respectful. This Pitt team appears to be completely loss trying to play defense, ND just shot 56% for the game including 13 for 24 from the 3. To many times this team is unprepared, in the post game interview Capel called the team effort deplorable, that should also include the coaching effort. Why do swoons like this happen? Is it Capel? The coaching staff? The players? Games like this and losing streaks don't help matters recruiting-wise. JHS and Efton Reid won't come here if we play like this. Maybe there's a reason why we don't have a commitment yet, and we strike out on major transfers too.
I have no idea. But I thought the Zavackas situation was weird. When I heard he was furious about Howland leaving it made more sense.Literally never seen that before... what was that?
