Pitt vs UF thread

Pitt is trying to force everything on offense right now… leading to some completely out of control looks.

Basically their shot selection has been awful since the 10 minute mark.

They need to move off the ball more, try to get some easier and smarter shots, and not force things if they’re not there. Dribbling into double teams with no backup plan isn’t a good approach to a team as physical as Florida is playing right now.

I'm curious to see if Capel can settle them down, get them to play some team basketball and get some better shots as a result. It probably won't matter if we continue to allow open 3s and layups at the other end.

Too much YMCA ball going on now. Capel needs to throw up the stop signs and try to get something out of sets
I don't know. The way Florida is playing so physical, not sure that will work.

Maybe press and force tempo. Make it a helter skelter open court game.

That may present our best chance.

A half court game seems a Florida winner.

bad sequence, miss a layup
other team hits a impossible 3
it carries.
what does capel do in gametime ?

I was fooled into thinking we had a team , sick of losing every big game early and often.

How many times do we play bad enough defense to let one guy get hot and end us?? It just the Pitt thing to do.

Impossible three? LOL. It was about 7 feet inside of a couple of Hinson’s takes, akd taken by a very good shooter. .

The Pitt shot selection and lack of any kind of an organized offense is startling. Is this really how Capel wants to play? This makes an AAU offense look disciplined.

Hey joe.. you do this all the time... I was talking to the board and you have to make it personal.. Your the loser.

This is one of those regression to the mean Hinson games that balances out an upcoming 30-point game. He has been a brick layer tonight.
