Pitt vs VA Game Thread

This is a must win for Pitt. They need to do everything they can to win the game. If that means putting in Yarnell and Daniel Carter, so be it…
Ordinarily you’d say you don’t want to pull your starter because it will kill his confidence. But the kid isn’t playing with any kind of confidence or poise and hasn’t been for a while. Bench him for his own good, give Yarn a chance, he must be wondering what a guy has to do to get one.

It's becoming painfully clear that our lines are totally deficient against teams that have some men up front. This could get ugly like last week real fast. Hell, we don't even seem interested.

This offense currently sucks balls. The OL can't block. The QB can't make basic throws. Just not a good football team right now.

Holstein is too scared to take a sack or make a mistake. Stay in the pocket and make your reads. If you get hit you get hit. He is killing more drives by panicking than taking sacks probably would kill.

That left tackle is absolutely KILLING them.

it’s early yet but this looks like a team that is woefully unprepared, poorly coached, short on athletes and talent across the board, and that is really not good.

Smoke + mirrors = 7-0

OMG with the Daniel Carter... please stop. He's had chances, he's in his 5th year, he's just ok. Hammond is actually proven and doesn't get the ball

Eli was making throws in the first half of the season. Now it seems like he can’t make any throws…even the easy ones. What the hell happened? If he can’t get anything going, sit him down and let Yarnell give it a shot.

Can't do anything.
This drive is starting at the 10. Wtf?
Holstein scares me.
Holstein has regressed clearly, but our offense has become very predictable. Cade Bell is at fault for that. Having said that, Pat Mahomes would look like shit behind this line. I'm OK with giving Nate a shot, but, I don't hold high expectations for him either.

Yeah so much for the players only meeting they are looking pitiful. They got exposed last week and honestly we could easily be 4-4 if not for some comebacks we usually lose. But the offense has looked horrible since the Cal game and the penalties my god the penalties are just killing any chance at getting a drive started.

We look like a JV team playing against a varsity team. And it’s not like UVA is even good. This offensive line is, well, offensive. You can bring Nate in for the second half but he needs at least a few seconds to see the field and throw the ball.

Something needs to change or this could get out of hand. I’m the eternal optimist, but right now, I’m not sure they can beat anyone left on the schedule.

You guys calling for Yarnell are nuts. Eli will figure it aht.

Need to get some down hill runs, then take some intermediate and deep shots once the rush is slowed down. We are working too hard for 5 yard passes, and that really doesn’t work when you take 5 penalties a quarter,

And they come out and to the exact opposite
