Amber Brown had a huge game with 17 points and 14 rebounds. Pitt now 7-2.

Taisha Exanor saved the day off the bench hitting 3 of 5 threes and 4-7 overall. Pitt led until BS tied it in the third quarter. Exanor missed 2 three-point attempts in the first half, then hit 3 to keep Pitt ahead in the second half.

Turnovers continue to kill Pitt - 21 this game.

Funny thing is that Exanor hardly played in the Rutgers win.

Go Pitt.

I think they are playing too many people in an attempt to figure out what the best rotation is. For instance in the Rutgers game, by the first media timeout Pitt had already played 10 players. That is a ridiculous number to play in the first five minutes of a game. At some point they have to (barring foul trouble and injuries of course) trim the rotation down to eight or maybe nine.

BTW, if you watched it, I didn't see the first quarter, so did the game announcers introduce themselves at the beginning? Because I am guessing that they had to be two Ball State students doing the gig as a school project or something. Because they were bad. Really, really bad. They can't be "professional" broadcasters in any sense of the word.

I don't even know if he
has a rotation. Maybe he
is trying to figure out one
as you mentioned.

TO's with this team drive me
crazy. lateral cross court passes,
Harris, going behind the back
out front,.Hayford driving
straight ahead and coming to
a dead stop inside, then looking
up and ...now what? 21 TO's,
that's really bad.

Still, with all that we won
due to being aggressive,
inside, and playing decent
D. There's depth and talent.
They also seemed to have
developed a swag. I like
that.

There are some good things going on, but yeah, man, they have got to stop turning the ball over so much.

Playing so many doesn’t help the turnover situation, but I suspect Coach White will continue playing at least 10. He likes pressure defense, rebounds, and fast play.

And don’t forget that Cynthia is finishing re-hab and waiting to start playing. She’s a tough rebounder, so she’ll play, IMHO.

I imagine they’ve been a bit disappointed in what they’ve gotten offensively from the center position. So many missed put-backs. But I expect to see at least 3 centers play - so they can stay fresh to run the floor.

Starters - Rita, AB, Liatu, Jayla and Day.

-I expect to see Emily’s minutes decline as Day plays more. Emy and Clesca backups.
-Strother, it depends on if she gets her shot back. They were very high on her pre-season.
-Exanor is too long and too athletic to sit, even if she goes in mainly for defensive purposes.
-Hueston may play less when Cynthia returns…

I like how they can rest the starters (and re-habbers) and still get some production…

Go Pitt.

I can tell you this. They want to have an eight person rotation, and then add a ninth or tenth to that only as foul trouble or game circumstances dictate. They can't get to that at this point because of the inconsistency of so many of the players.
