The Seattle Sounders tarp the Seahawks' stadium down to 40K and have one of the best gameday atmospheres in the country for any sport. For bigger games, they take the tarp off.
Think the Rooneys would ever allow this? Nope.

Again, I know some here think I'm full of crap when I say it, but I really do know someone on the athletic committee and it's true that an on campus stadium is not even on the radar, in fact they might not even have a radar to look at for it, it is really that far out of the conversation.
Your argument's bull $hit. 98% of div one schools have their own stadium. If you can't get past the utility of Pitt's having its own stadium, go root for somebody else. We don't need you.
You mean the Fan Experience Committee that is filled mostly with folks that the Athletic Department already had a relationship with previously? It wouldn't be on their radar because that's not really their focus.

Pitt's more secretive than the CIA. You'll be the last to know! It's not on the radar of the school, the athletic committee, nobody, they don't even discuss it. Only random people on message boards talk about it.

I don't have to refute anything, dummy. The facts are 98% of div. 1 schools have their own stadium and if you want to compete on
an equal footing you better have similar facilities. If you can't see that, you're stupid. No one cares what a dummy like you thinks are better uses for the money. If you were a true fan you'd open up your wallet and help financially if it came to that. Otherwise, dummy, like I said, go root for someone else! And finally, you have no idea what Pitt admin. thinks. You aren't invited to meetings on strategic capital investments. Now go eat your sammich and enjoy the rest of the day.
You don't know squat!
If you check, the reply to which you responded wasn't addressed to you but in any event, as I indicated in my reply to you even if Pitt were discussing a stadium it's highly unlikely anyone who posts on this board would know. But I do! Nobody, I repeat, NOBODY inside the University or sports program is even considering, or even casually discussing, building a new stadium for football anywhere.

Del is right. That wouldn't be something done through a committee.
But if it was in a serious stage of development, you don't think the schools athletic committee would know something about it? That's a pretty major development.
