PSU extra tickets order

Haha. Sounds like a WVU occupy heinz movement. You are a complete fool if you think Pitt's attendance for the 16 psu game hinges on this year

He sounds like a "complete fool" whether he thinks that, or not.

Or I am supporting my university. I actually attend games and don't disguise myself as a gray bleacher and then pretend 107 strong is telling the truth

I won't be going to the game, so I don't care one way or the other... but you do realize your own athletic department is using Penn State to bribe you into buying tickets you otherwise wouldn't buy, right?

Isn't that always the whole idea behind selling season tickets in the first place? Want to make sure you get a good ticket to the Notre Dame game, well you need to buy a season ticket that includes Youngstown State. Or from a nitter perspective, if you want to guarantee a good ticket to Ohio State you buy a season ticket that includes Indiana.

If it's supposed to bother us that our athletic department does that to us does it bother you when your athletic department does the exact same thing?

This season will go a long way in determining who will be in the stands next September. If narduzzi turns out to be the real deal as a hc and starts to get some of the bigger named recruits on board , then there will be pitt fans aplenty at Heinz for the psu game , but if pitt struggles on the field and the recruiting stays as is along with early departures of conner and boyd ......pitt could very well be a double digit underdog and if that turns out to be the case , whether you want to admit it or not there will be more than enough tickets available to any and all psu fans that want to be there in person. And yes psu could also struggle , but the odds are more in their favor as there will be quite an infusion of young talent over the next couple of years.

Huh? Boyd and Conner will be big losses but Pitt returns every other offensive starter besides Holtz (lose Rowell but get starter back in JJS) and the loss of Conner will not be as big as it seems because we have a loaded stable behind him. Pitt could very well have one of the best OL's in the country next season which will help the running game. Our D should be improved in Year 2 also.

PSU's QB will be making his 1st road start in a hostile environment which is never easy and most of the Dominator's blue blood recruits will be too inexperienced to make a huge difference. Pitt should absolutely win the game next season, possibly in blowout fashion. The final 3 could very well go to PSU, however, once Franklin's recruits get rolling.

EDITED TO ADD --OK, it appears they're offering additional tickets to season ticket holders just for the PSU game, not additional season tickets. My bad, I somehow read or heard it incorrectly.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's my understanding that your ticket office is encouraging you to buy extra season tickets to block out the number of tickets available to PSU fans. So, if you usually buy 4 tickets they're suggesting you buy 6, or 8 instead. That's not the same as promoting a "big game" to encourage season ticket sales.

Maybe I misunderstood what was going in, but that was how I interpreted what I was hearing.
