R.I.P. - Don Parrish

Not sure if this had been mentioned on a previous post, but 1976 Pitt Panther starting DT Don Parrish passed away a few of weeks ago, He was 66 yrs old...

'You don’t run at Don Parrish': Former Godby star, Pitt national champ and NFL tackle passes away

Parrish was a four-year starter at Pittsburgh under Johnny Majors, helping the Panthers win the 1976 national title.

Don had an infectuous smile and made others around him smile as well. As the "Kamikaze Kid" said in this article, Parrish was a super nice guy with a very down-to-earth personality.

But on the football field, he was vicious. When a big stop was needed, often it was Parrish who made it on the line of scrimmage during that undefeated season.
