A few weeks ago, there was a thread about the Rams’ uniforms. They are going to wear their beautiful and wildly popular throwbacks in the Super Bowl.

I love those uniforms, but I don’t love how the blue in the helmet does not match the blue in the jersey or the pants.

Anyway, that sparked a discussion about them changing their uniforms and here is some actual news on that subject.

Highlights:
+ They will change the unis in 2020 (to coincide with the opening of their new palatial domed stadium)
+ The new unis will be a “modern take on their historical jerseys”
+ The unis will be blue and yellow

Also, here is the field design for tomorrow. Interesting that the Rams basically don’t have a word mark, so they’re going with a plain Aerial font. It should be yellow with blue writing – that would make the helmet pop a lot better. However, it’s an interesting look nonetheless.

A “modern take on their historical jerseys” usually means you take something that everyone loves and wants back full time and coming out with the classic uniform colors only to have a disappointing design.

It's interesting, baffling perhaps, that they don't repaint the helmets. Or have a whole separate set made.

The darker blue stinks.
The yellow pops and should be the focal point. Pitt also is making the right call in going with the yellow.

Yes. Should make us be wary of what's coming for us too
