Democrats don't need workers.....they need non- workers, which breeds dependency.
growing a lot more jobs than carrier, by a mile. and that's without getting bent over a barrell to keep them.

The WH is in DC.
I read/heard that Pence gave them $700,000/year to stay. It came out of a fund in Indiana that the tax payers of Ind paid for. If this is true. Tax payer kept the company from leaving. Sounds like a D idea.
Perhaps I'm wrong. I will gladly listen to posters who can prove this to be wrong.
$7M in tax breaks. i remember when he said he was going to make those companies PAY a tax. now he's giving it away.
good news for anyone who has a company with US based employees - threaten to off shore it and the gov't gives you free $!! paul is going to HATE this as he is disgusted by handouts.

No he's only against handouts to the people who need them - the poor and infirm.
Where was Indiana BEFORE the election? Maybe they could have saved 100% of the jobs instead of less than 50%. I'm sure those other 1,300 soon-to-be-unemployed people are excited they voted for Trump.

Now the book is out on Trump... threaten to outsource jobs, demand tax breaks and incentives, then agree to only outside more than half. Trump gets to say he saves jobs they had no intention of outsourcing.
Trump is already negotiating with terrorists before taking office.

The 1100 jobs there probably is a payroll of 50plus million and with multipliers means business into the hundreds of millions in the region.

again, the overwhelming majority of people on assistance ARE WORKING. these aren't bad people. the world has changed and left the less educated (not their fault types), less intelligent (sorry, not sorry), behind. mankind was not designed for the world we live in. heavy labor work is gone forever. what do we all do? the world is waiting for your genius answer as every developed country has the same question and problem. only so many baristas needed in a town.

Once again, you ascribe beliefs to me that I don't hold. Typical, dishonest, but typical.No one is guaranteed an income. If you can't support yourself, what are the reasons?? Do you think anyone on welfare has a car?? HDTV?? Iphone?? Do they eat out?? No one gets ahead by clinging to the backs of others. The welfare state TRAINS people to rely on others. Let's wean them from the gov't teats.
BTW, the trades are desperately in need of new blood, but can't find apprentices. The work requires effort......and might get hands dirty.
i didn't ascribe them to you. i'm asking what you want to do about it. you do ascribe very negative things on to people who are poor, repeatedly. if you actually find out who is on assistance, the majority are hard working decent people. many are children and old people. you want grandma to go down to the plumbers guild and get her training?
for most programs, you have to prove your working to get assistance. it's usually short term. the only thing that isn't is the disability system. and if have ever known anyone on disability, you get almost nothing.
there is waste in the overall welfare system but it's not much by comparison to other systems in life. not everyone has the aptitude or ability to do high tech jobs. it was all well and good when basic labor jobs paid a living wage - not any more. what do we do with those people?
If they haven't adapted to the realities of the 21st century, whose fault is it? People left farms to huddle in cities for the Industrial Revolution. If you have no training, is that MY fault? Not sure why we're having this discussion, as you think the economy is in good shape. Accepting welfare has led millions to think they don't NEED to be self-sufficient. Very Pavlovian, really. Just what libs want.
If you're poor through no fault of your own, there are safety nets. Perhaps a change in gov't attitudes toward business will help? All those academics have done is screw the pooch for 8 years. Amazingly, the business of America is still.....Business.
