RIP Harve74

A Lair Legend. RIP Harve. Glad he got to see a great Pitt win before passing!

Always sad when a good man passes. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends

I haven’t posted here for at least 5 years but I’m sincerely saddened by this. Didn’t know him personally but you know things about people from here. RIP and prayers for peace for his friends and family.

The big man was a legend around these parts and he always brought an air of dignity and respect to all of these forums and anything Pitt-related. He will be missed and Heaven just added one heck of a Bodyguard. If should comfort ya’ll that he was able to enjoy a big win at home last Saturday with his Family before he took the magical trip home. RIP my friend and H2P!

As someone who not only exchanged emails and occasional posts, I met Harve - and his wife Anne - a couple of times. A gentle man / gentleman was a good description. I am sad to hear of his passing, and sadder, too that we lost touch with each other the past couple of years. We both attended Pitt at the same time (1970-1974) but did not know each other as undergrads. We “met” on this chat board.

It hits home when someone your age passes ... all of my love to his family and friends who lost a truly good person ... you’ll be missed ... RIP

Moe--Yes we will all miss his interesting posts.

And--It does hit home when you are of an age--my undergrad years were 1965-69--and I lost a younger brother-in-law to the big "C" last year.
