Per the below Rodney Gallagher NIL value at the HS level is worth 100k dollars which PA does not allow you to monetize. Leads to a couple questions.
1. Should PA allow HS athletes to pursue NIL opportunities? I say yes, any actor, singer, entertainer, etc is allowed to monetize at this age so why shouldn’t athletes? Would they kick out some child actor from the school play if they had been an actor in a movie? The answer is no.
2. If this is what he’s worth in HS what is he worth once boosters get involved and he has greater exposure for landing classic endorsements? My guess is he will be commanding 500k-1 million annually.
3. I know he has already committed to just playing football but does that hurt his marketability? 2 sport athlete would have a leg up I’d think landing national type deals.
