Saints

We had a lengthy discussion on here about the Steelers fake punt a few weeks ago, it bears mentioning that you always need to be ready for it when playing the Rams. Hard to believe you wouldn’t be expecting it when the punter has made a semi career out of throwing the ball on 4th down.

Rams showing why giving a huge deal to a running back is not wise. Both last week and this week, the fat running back they got off the scrap heap has been more effective than Gurley for them.

Good point - I have never seen a team use so many fake punts.

Lol, love how the announcer ref totally ignored the obvious defensive hold call that the ref blatantly missed.

Officiating has never been worse.

Yea - Gurley’s drop led to an INT and that last one prevented a 1st down. He needs to step up.

The moment looks too big for Gurley right now. We'll see if he settles in.

Aaron Donald took over on the last Saints drive. They are going to need more of that to get back in it.

Rams throwing short of the sticks almost every time on 3rd down. Never a good sign.

I agree. Looking at his numbers on the season, he's a non-threat throwing the ball and his YPC are only marginally better than the actual running backs.

Sucks. I was hoping to see Donald in the Super Bowl, but Brees is a great dude, so I can't complain about that.

I don't even want to see Brady in the SB. I've seen enough drooling over him for making the AFC championship game, I don't need 2 more weeks of it.

I went to his place in the French Quarter once in the mid 90's. A roach the size of my thumb ran across our table during the meal. The whole party got to eat for free. It was ok other than the roach. Apparently he was hanging out at the bar but I wouldn't know him if he was standing in front of me. Much like the grateful dead, I never understood how anyone could listen to him.

Totally disagree with the decision here, should’ve gone for it from inside the 1. Even if you don’t make it all you need is one more stop.

With a healthy Gurley maybe he does, I still think he’s going to regret it. Hope I’m wrong.

Had they not missed the facemask on Goff would’ve been 1st and goal at the 1.

The percentage play was to go for it, I don’t think many will disagree with that after the game.

Still have a shot, need to force a FG quickly here.

Wow, that’s a huge no-call. Might make the difference in who goes to the Super Bowl.

I get the don’t want to be the difference in a game like this, but that’s a penalty you have to call.

And to think Rams fans “petitioned” to have Bill Vinovich removed as referee.

Payton blew it with all those passes with a minute and a half left in reg. Really, the Rams werent good, but the Saints gagged all day, so deserve the loss.

Most important part of that winning FG was the holder. Not the best snap and he got it down to make that kick possible.
