With the Atlanta Braves moving to a brand new baseball stadium, Georgia State is now occupying Turner Field and has transformed it into a football stadium. (Link)
It's a really cool idea to renovate and repurpose a stadium rather than destroy and build something new.
I think it's inevitable that the Steelers move out of the city limits with their next stadium, and I wouldn't be shocked if the Pirates followed. What if Pitt took PNC Park and made some similar changes and then had a smaller college football stadium like we all want?
Probably would never happen, but it's not an idea I had ever thought about before!
