So Bell is interviewing at Oklahoma?

Seems a little early for that. I don't think they'll hire him, but it could make the situation weird with Narduzzi, I would imagine.

I agree, they shouldn't hire him. He hasn't proven enough. Oklahoma has the name and money to get an OC who is more proven.

But I wouldn't blame Bell for considering it, since Oklahoma would be able to offer more money, and it's Oklahoma.

But, if Bell has more success he isn't going to last at Pitt. That's how it works.

I've not kept up with Wazzou this season, but replacing Ward with another stud is pretty impressive.

It’s difficult to anticipate who will enter the portal. And I’m sure some 5* one year removed from high school who hasn’t taken a snap will have a higher ranking than him in the portal based purely on upside.

But in terms of college QBs that have played, Mateer will probably be the highest rated QB in the portal. It was reported that he already has 7 figure offers from colleges.

He won’t be missed

too early to tell, but the recent trend hasn't been good. Play fast has been replaced by run to the line quick and then stare at the sideline for 15 seconds before running the play. I think he deserves another year to try and get things right.

And may I remind you that you were also down on Matt Canada here, calling him a "scrap-heap" hire.

I can't see it. Too much money to walk away from
I don't love everything about his coaching, but I think it's fair to say Narduzzi is one of the coaches that actually loves the game and loves coaching. Not saying most D1 head coaches don't also love the game, but many love their egos and bank accounts first and of course love the power of being the big man in charge.

Narduzzi is a multi-millionaire already, I don't think adding a few more million is what motivates him to keep coaching. With his X&Os smarts and big mouth, he could make millions as studio analyst with much less stress.

… oh. We just so happened to play the good teams and have our QB hurt when he got here.

He was hired to get us more NIL money, not find us a coach.
I'm just giving u a little info that was shared to me. Nothing is etched in stone. Also some didn't appreciate Holstein as well other Pitt players attending the LSU game. We shall see H2P

Clemson was a very winnable game and I think that's where the $hit hit the fan.

I know you have good info but I’m still not really sure what you are alluding to.

Pat isn’t happy that HL was fired?

Because even if Greene wants a new coach, I’m not sure how that impacts the games on the field.

And I’m not sure where he’s getting the $40M to do it.

I'm not saying to replace PN it's some offense assistants that needs to be replaced. I should've specified assistant coaches, my bad.

Should upgrade at WR and OL coaches

Jesus Christ and the 12 Apostles could be the coaches, and balls are still going to bounce of Poppi's chest. Well, I take that back. I think Poppi is legally blind, because he doesn't even appear to be seeing some of these balls. Jesus Christ could fix that.

Yeah, what is up with the confusion lately? Seems mostly like a Yarnell thing, though, so I don't know if I blame Bell. But boy is it tough to watch.

It's not just a few million, though. $6.7M/year for the next six years is so much money.

I dont disagree.

He reminds me in many ways of Tony Bennet (he said tongue in cheek).

Wouldn't have guessed they'd be interested, but I think this kind of shows his hand when it comes to loyalty.
I think there are very few OCs/DCs in the country who would turn up their nose when it comes to interviewing at Oklahoma. That's a school with a lot of money, football focus, ability to recruit Texas, etc. So I wouldn't judge harshly here. Even if you don't get the job, you get national attention.

I guess. Just feels like he's young and Pitt kind of took a chance on him to begin with. 11 games into the first season just seems a bit early to me. But I digress.
