So, now being reported

Usc,>fsu>psu.

Fsu has won two titles since PSU has better recruiting area and arguably a easier path.

Winning a national title more recently doesn’t make you a better coaching gig. There are a lot of schools who’ve won national titles since Georgia’s last one, but I wouldn’t put them ahead of Georgia.

And FSU’s more fertile recruiting area doesn’t mean much when you realize that they’re also competing with all of the SEC, Clemson, and Miami for those same recruits.

I kid you not, he had his @Patnards troll account going on a certain other site last night and said Paris Ford was going to join PSU via the transfer portal. He didn’t cover his tracks too well, the “last seen” times on the two accounts were one minute apart! :D

In a weird way, I kind of respect that Mauti thinks so much of the rivalry he is willing to pay for premium just to troll. Patnards, H2PZoo, H2Pisit, DionLewis28...a massive trolling effort.

True. What’s funny is that he predicted Pitt would go 4-8 and have a terrible defense, yet that wasn’t even the worst take. IIRC, there was a guy in September that said Twyman wouldn’t make the Penn St two-deep. Oy vey!

Living in Southern California, right now no one knows how good the USC job will be because the program has been so wracked during the terms served by Mike Garrett and Lynn Swann as AD.

One thing USC always had going for it was its relationship with the top HS programs in the area. Schools like Long Beach Poly and Bishop Amat, when they were producing 6 to 8 bluechippers a year, were like feeding grounds for USC. Both ran USC’s offense and defense. They even used a lot of the same terminology. The kids would show up at USC and be way ahead of other freshmen. And, they were getting everyone from those schools, back to the days when Pat Hayden and John McKay Jr. were the QB WR tandem there. Catholic schools can recruit, and Bishop Amat would recruit players USC asked them to recruit. LB Poly also can recruit because of it specialized curriculum. If a stud player at, say, Lakewood or Los Alamitos was being recruited by USC he would transfer to LB Poly to take a program not offered by his HS.

When he became coach, Pete Carrol didn’t consider that feeder program essential and it started to drift away. As a result Bishop Amat no longer is the go to Catholic HS. The power has passed. LB Poly also is not as dominant.
Supposedly, Garrett and Swann destroyed the relationship between USC and quite a few top HSs here. It can be built back up but it will take time. Or Urban Meyer. The consensus here at least among USC boosters is that he would be Nick Saban, Dabo Swinney and Jesus Christ all rolled into one.

If Urban Meyer was at USC they'd be in the playoffs NEXT YEAR. He'd be in the National Championship game every year.

No fan base circles their coach who orchestrated a cover up of a pedophile coach more than the Enablers! Period!

I guess it depends on your definition of "better".That better fan base orchestrated a buyout of their prior coach after 18 games.
