Nice comeback. Unfortunately possibly the last win of the season.
If they win again, will you go away like you’ve promised us many, many times?
It's really, reeeaaaalllllyyyy unfortunate that some of our own "fans" have to be labeled as haters... but it's true.
Glad we won, we won't win many this year , but we will fight , next year we will see more wins , year after a nice run in the NCAA, and recruiting will also keep getting better.
Yes we did and some of our great fans are pissed!

Next year’s class is nothing to get excited about but I read somewhere they’ve made some inroads for the 2019 kids. I hope you and whatever it was I saw are correct about recruiting. I like Carr and there are some role players/pieces but I think they still need a major talent upgrade.

Just curious on the definition of a what a hater is on this board? Who do they hate? Why do they hate? Do they hate Pitt? Do they hate Stallings? Do they hate other posters? Am I hater? Are you a hater? Who decides? I hate the word hater!!!
If you are on this board constantly daily and even for years as most of us have been and live and die by Pitt then how can you be a hater?

Sadly it’s not just this board. Everything seems to be so polarized. But for this discussion people can’t express concern or have valid criticisms without being labeled haters.
I think it is poster's who always seem to only point out the negative, make excuses when we win, blame the administration for every wrong and think by bashing the AD, coach and/or players it will make it better. I would be willing to guess that almost all of them never played a sport or were part of a team.
Ones who want to see Pitt fail simply because of their notion that Stallings sucks that is set in stone and can't be changed.
People who say things sarcastically after every win like "Wow huge win!! Beat Towson by 4. Look how sad it is we're celebrating a win over them when we used to kill teams like that"...
That is hating and stuff that the national media or fans of other teams should be saying to us, not within ourselves.
It's one thing to not be pleased with the current state of the program, it's another to just constantly troll for no reason other than to spew hate.

There are miserable people that cheer and hope for everyone else to be miserable. That's a hater. But many of the people on this board that are called out have been with Pitt as fans for a very long time and have earned the right as fans to express their support how they would like. Maybe they, including me, post more negative about KS than is needed but for most it's a result of the situation were in and the many years of trauma of being a fan of Pitt.
And before you call me out, I have been active on Pitt boards since 1995 with Frank Sokol, HGP, and Crazy Paco. I have lived and died emotionally with Pitt for over 40 years. I am on this board for information but also to be able to celebrate the great times and have others to process the challenging times with. I have spent way too much of my life as a crazy Pitt fan to cheer against us.
As a Pitt fan, the only thing I hate is losing, struggling vs mediocre opponents, and not having a really good team that gets to the tournament most years.
The creation of this thread and contents are precisely a microcosm of why this board has become almost unreadable. (Not saying the people are bad, but the contents.) Everyone's shooting at each other. You're bad - no, you're worse, etc. etc. etc.

This thread and the "You know things are bad" thread are both not helpful.
That's even a more ignorant and demeaning word. It should be saved for posters that only go on boards to spew hate. Those are the people that have less than 50 posts or so and then in a week they change their handle.
Posters like you who joined in 2005 and me who have been on here since 2001 would have a difficult time being defined as trolls. That would be some kind of insane trolling commitment.
What’s not helpful is for so called panther fans actually wishing this team tanks in hopes that maybe somehow perhaps hopefully wishfully the athletic department is willing to shell out millions to fire a guy. I hated the hire but will never ever ever root against kids wearing blue and gold. And don’t give me the BS that there aren’t many on this board who aren’t wishing for that. If you don’t like it Pitt? girl don’t read it. You have been notably silent here recently which is not helping either in my opinion. If you ain’t with us you are against us unless you have a spare $15 million for a buyout.
So then why are you trying to post this stuff? Leave it alone and it will cause less reactions from the people that you define as so called Panther fans.

Nailed it! We Pitt fans who have been loyal to these programs, football and basketball and others, for decades (mine is now at 55 years) have seen it all. We do have a right to voice our opinions about the current state of Pitt athletics and not be criticized by relative rookies. I have lost my voice more times than I can count at Pitt Stadium and Fitzgerald. I always cheer for Pitt and expect great things and better things from Pitt. I've been accused by some very close to me of living and dying with Pitt and giving too much money to them. I'll never change and I'll be a Pitt fan until the day I die. I want only the best for Pitt and I become very frustrated and annoyed when we have the results we are now seeing in hoops and I hear some Pitt "fans" saying stuff like "give Stallings a chance". I don't care about Stallings, I care about Pitt. I enjoy watching these kids play hard and do their best. That's what I'm seeing and that's what I'm taking out of this year, regardless of W's and L's.
I have been notably silent lately because I have been unable to attend even one game so far this year. Therefore I didn't think it was in my place to comment on things I didn't even see. Trust me, I would HAPPILY trade places with you so I could go to the games and post.
I appreciate the sentiment of not opening threads that you disagree with. I blame myself for that. The constant finger pointing here has been challenging at best; maybe today the straw has broken the proverbial camels back for me.
