Sorry haters....

An ugly win is always better than a pretty loss.

It depends on what you are looking for. For instance a one point loss in a well played game at Duke would almost certainly tell us a lot more good things about our team going forward than an overtime win against Mount St. Mary's would. In a year that certain people keep insisting that we not pay attention to wins and losses and only the process, every single one of those folks should prefer the well played, hard fought loss to Duke over the poorly played, crappy overtime win against Mount St. Mary's.

Well, they want the best if both worlds.

Crowing over wins ,to the “haters” but exalting moments in losses.

Showing that you can compete with the best is what it's all about . That' why being 11-0 and beating a bunch of cupcakes doesn' really tell you how you'll fair against good competition . This yr though every win is a good win !

It's really, reeeaaaalllllyyyy unfortunate that some of our own "fans" have to be labeled as haters... but it's true.
Being realistic doesn't make people haters, if you say this team sucks and will finish last in the ACC and maybe not win another game, that's not hate, it's honesty. why does it bother you?

But it will get you ranked, being 7-4 against the top 25 probably won't.

I would be fine with that. But it’s when most of us are trying to celebrate a win and we have the annoying few who chime in and say “Yeah but who cares. This team sucks and we will not win another game.”

I watched last nights game, I enjoyed it, was a good game. I kept thinking in the grand scheme of things, Pitt isn't that bad, Towson will probably win 25 games these year, maybe make the NCAAs or NIT, but we're in the ACC so we'll suck.

Glad we won, we won't win many this year , but we will fight , next year we will see more wins , year after a nice run in the NCAA, and recruiting will also keep getting better.
I never thought I would be happy about a win over Towson, but I am. It brings back memories of being happy over wins against the Carnegie Techs, St. Francis and the Cleveland States of the past. After the come back against WVU and last night, I'm feeling optimistic again.

One of my years at Pitt we even lost to Carnegie Tech!
