That’s undeniable
If Pitt spends scarce resources on buying up land for stadium used 7 times a year -
Well
They may as well give up athletics

Are you intentionally being stupid or is it effortless? So cash flow doesn't matter, right?

You said Pitt doesn't have the cash flow, but in reality you'd be against it even if they did have the cash flow. Just pointing that out.
Viewing this web site never fails to give me a chuckle.Fantasy Island!
There’s plenty of land in Johnstown
I'm no Souf fan but he is as right as can be. To spend the money on 6/7 Saturdays a year (forget concerts/other events no one is going to Oakland over North Side) is silly. Every Pitt fan needs to understand that when Pitt Stadium was tore down on campus football left for at least our lifetime unless someone donates $500,000,000 for the purpose of an on campus stadium.
Which is why billionaires don’t build their own -My point is that no stadium would ever get built using this methodology. And frankly, no arena either.

And the expenses get socialized by suckers .
Even when they literally vote against it
Don't be surprised if you start to hear rumblings about PITT not playing at Heinz in the next year with other suitors.
I take it at this point you're making these posts to see how if you can stir people up. I had my suspicions after the "Pitt was the better team" post, and this confirms it.
So they'll move the University over a football stadium? Maybe San Diego or Oakland. LOLI think any stadium change would have to come between 2027-2030. I think that is the point....the city better gets its act together in the next 4 years or PITT and the Steelers may be gone.
How is this trolling? Did you read about the stadium authority? PITT is definitely playing at Heinz until 2030 but depending on what the deal is with the Steelers and a possible eminent domain claim in south oakland....PITT has more options then we have seen in the past 40 years.
I for one believe a stadium is waste of money.

Boy he and I went at it a couple of times, in the old days. Miss his ego incensed posts. Was a lot of fun to argue with.FREE CONJUNTO
We need his leadership now more than ever.

Pitt should just move to Florida or Texas and start a new campus. Instead of nationality rooms, have whole nationality buildings and become an educational EPCOT Center that becomes a tourist attraction. Take UPMC headquarters with it. It will pay for itself if the state government that is lucky enough to attract 100k employees, thousands of new out of state residents annually, and $1 billion in R&D doesn't pay for it themselves. Can have a Pitt HQ2 campaign and let states bid on it, and then sell off the existing crumbling real estate to Carnegie Tech and use it to fund a massive football stadium and athletic complex for year round use in the southern weather that will pay for itself in no time. A Pitt IMG academy that will just funnel players right onto Pitt rosters. Better demographics and recruiting territory anyway in the South. Who needs a location in PA when everything is about streaming and now on-line learning. Can leave UPJ as is if they still want a physical presence in PA (couldn't sell real estate in Richland Township anyway).
