The defense maybe hasn’t been tested but they are elite at all three levels.Man. The Steelers are lucky they’ve played two of the worst teams in the league. This is a bad team
Justin Fields has elite physical talent, but he is not the level of QB that Pickett was for Pittsburgh. That said, he is supposed to be the backup and not on the field. The offense has more to do right now with the QB than anything else. It is hard when you have a guy that is limited back there. It would appear that the problem all along has been Michael Tomlin and not Kenny Pickett. Paint drying is truly more exciting.
I might be in the minority but I thought Fields played well.Justin Fields has elite physical talent, but he is not the level of QB that Pickett was for Pittsburgh. Fields was really good in the first half considering penalties took some big plays off the board. The entire offense stunk in the second.I might be in the minority but I thought Fields played well.
They played two of the worst offenses in the league. The Steelers offense is not much different than the last two years.Man. The Steelers are lucky they’ve played two of the worst teams in the league. This is a bad team
But,they have Patrick Queen and he plays like one.The Steelers only have one wide receiver. Thanks Omar.
Maybe. But right now, the Steelers are 2-0, with their backup qb. Meanwhile, Baltimore and Cincinnati are both 0-2, with 2 of the top qb’s in the league, including last season’s MVP. They must be doing something right. They played two of the worst offenses in the league. The Steelers offense is not much different than the last two years.
Throw short to the sidelines and chuck a ball up to Pickens now and then and either hope he makes a circus catch or they call PI
So maybe the problem wasn’t KP but is the guy the media fawns over because he’s maintained mediocrity for a decade
Yeah it’s been plodding but they were two road wins. There are no style points for road wins in the NFL.I hear the Steelers upgraded their quarterback room. Averaging a robust 15.5 points a game…CHAMPIONSHIP!
Excellent assessment, Russell Wilson won’t do any better because it’s the coaching staff. Fire a bum to bring in another to run the offense. It would appear that the problem all along has been Michael Tomlin and not Kenny Pickett. Paint drying is truly more exciting.
Sean Payton not trying for an onsides kick is puzzling ... he just basically waived the flag on this game barring a last second miracle.
Let’s revisit their record when they are done playing soup cans. The Pirates were above 500 earlier this year tooMaybe. But right now, the Steelers are 2-0, with their backup qb. Meanwhile, Baltimore and Cincinnati are both 0-2, with 2 of the top qb’s in the league, including last season’s MVP. They must be doing something right.
Funny how no one said that when Picket won.Yeah it’s been plodding but they were two road wins. There are no style points for road wins in the NFL.
Why don’t you drop a few more Tomlinisms….theres a ton of them out there.Yeah it’s been plodding but they were two road wins. There are no style points for road wins in the NFL.
Doesn’t matter since they don’t have a QB to throwThe Steelers only have one wide receiver. Thanks Omar.
If you think he actually has a calf strain that has limited him-There just isn't enough talent on offense.
We'll probably get to see the other QB next week now that he doesn't have to get his feelings hurt by boo birds in Denver. Maybe that will help.
he's so mediocre it unreal. you can get the same production from about 45 running backs in this league..Steelers still seem to think Najee Harris is something special. Surely they can find someone with some quickness. Harris looks like he should be a third-string RB.
If they think he’s so special why did they decline the 5th year option?Steelers still seem to think Najee Harris is something special. Surely they can find someone with some quickness. Harris looks like he should be a third-string RB.
khan said they were still trying to sign him but it could be lip service. not picking up his 5th year but then signing him to a second contract would be beyond dumb but who knows what they are thinking..If they think he’s so special why did they decline the 5th year option?
No disagreement here but if the Steelers thought he was special the 5th year would have been picked up.khan said they were still trying to sign him but it could be lip service. not picking up his 5th year but then signing him to a second contract would be beyond dumb but who knows what they are thinking..
