Dude, put Broderick Jones on IR. I don't know what's going on with him, but he can't play right now.
The penalties are brutal for a team like the Steelers that have very little margin for error on offense. If they were up 21-0 at the half the entire 2nd half is pretty much garbage time against ths Broncos team. As it stands now Denver is very much still in the game.

Man. The Steelers are lucky they’ve played two of the worst teams in the league. This is a bad team
The defense maybe hasn’t been tested but they are elite at all three levels.
It would appear that the problem all along has been Michael Tomlin and not Kenny Pickett. Paint drying is truly more exciting.
Justin Fields has elite physical talent, but he is not the level of QB that Pickett was for Pittsburgh. That said, he is supposed to be the backup and not on the field. The offense has more to do right now with the QB than anything else. It is hard when you have a guy that is limited back there.
Porter Jr. is going to kill the Steelers when they play a decent team.

Fields was really good in the first half considering penalties took some big plays off the board. The entire offense stunk in the second.
They played two of the worst offenses in the league. The Steelers offense is not much different than the last two years.

Maybe. But right now, the Steelers are 2-0, with their backup qb. Meanwhile, Baltimore and Cincinnati are both 0-2, with 2 of the top qb’s in the league, including last season’s MVP. They must be doing something right.
I hear the Steelers upgraded their quarterback room. Averaging a robust 15.5 points a game…CHAMPIONSHIP!
Yeah it’s been plodding but they were two road wins. There are no style points for road wins in the NFL.
Excellent assessment, Russell Wilson won’t do any better because it’s the coaching staff. Fire a bum to bring in another to run the offense.
That made no sense. I mean sure, on side kicks are pretty much never recovered by the kicking team any more. But how was it better to kick it deep, assume your defense would hold, and then essentially play for either a punt return touchdown or a ten lateral pass play touchdown?
And in the end, what they ended up with field position and time-wise when they got the ball back was probably right around what they would have ended up with had they on side kicked and not recovered.
Dumb decision.
Let’s revisit their record when they are done playing soup cans. The Pirates were above 500 earlier this year too

There just isn't enough talent on offense.
We'll probably get to see the other QB next week now that he doesn't have to get his feelings hurt by boo birds in Denver. Maybe that will help.

he's so mediocre it unreal. you can get the same production from about 45 running backs in this league..
If they think he’s so special why did they decline the 5th year option?
khan said they were still trying to sign him but it could be lip service. not picking up his 5th year but then signing him to a second contract would be beyond dumb but who knows what they are thinking..
No disagreement here but if the Steelers thought he was special the 5th year would have been picked up.
