I’ve only seen coaches do that a couple times but agree with that strategy. I think within a few years you’ll see it a lot more, just like coaches going for 2 down 14 late.

It's almost a no downside play. Even if you miss you are up seven, and if they score a touchdown they are going to kick the extra point to tie the game. But make it and your opponent has a heck of a time winning the game.
