Surreal scene in Morgantown

storming the court is pretty pathetic, especially in early January.. Save it for the truly special wins.. But not gonna knock wvu students, are fans throw confetti on floor after first basket and jump up and down saying "ooooooooooooooooooooohh" not any less pathetic and embarrassing IMO.

You are overthinking things. Do it when you feel it, there's no right or wrong or any criteria you need to follow. I remember in the '80s at Fitzgerald, they would do the confetti thing then too, so what? Who's embarrassed? It's just something we do, that's like a little Pitt 'tradition" too, so what? Lighten up.

wait, aren't you the one all upset about rushing the court? I am not that upset by it, just think it's pathetic. Robinson scores basket to go up 2-0, students throw confetti, game is stopped and guy comes out with a broom. Rinse and Repeat.. Is that really worthy of being called a "tradition?"

That stuff really bothers you? You sound like you would be a blast at parties.

The guy with the broken leg probably cares. But I can understand why a guy who doesn't go to the games wouldn't.

I go to games when I can. It's not a religion, I went to a Baltimore Blast indoor soccer game just last week it was fun. All sporting events are is entertainment that you go to when it fits into your schedule, nothing that matters any more than that. These games are nothing I'd make any over the top effort to go to, I go when it's convenient for me.

I'm not upset about rushing the court, it's no big deal to me, if a win is big enough, I like seeing it, even if there's a risk someone might get hurt, there's a risk of getting hurt coming out of the shower, so what?

I love seeing field goal posts coming down. Cant get enough of it. I want drunk 19 year olds risking life and limb to tear this thing down. I want cops on horseback waving baton at oncoming waves of students who want those posts down. If one or two kids lose their life over it, well I consider that worth it.

Be still. We already all know what a keyboard tough guy/harda$$ you are.

You are a typical modern wuss, everything has to be prescribed or micromanaged to maximize safety for you I suppose. I'm OLD, I grew up in the '60s and '70s, life was way more risky, unhealthy ad dangerous then, I know, I was there, and because of that, it was also more fun and people learned more and where smarter than the wusses who live today looking for "safe zones" and surrounded by helicopter parents.

How many times has that ever happened? Has it happened ever, even once? Peronally, yeah, you're right! It's worth it! I miss the chaotic dangerous world that had no "safe zones" the world I grew up in. And you know what, a few people dying is WORTH IT to return to that kind of place and time, pass the acid, get behind the wheel, lets go to Woodstock, lol... I'm IN!

I'll tell you what pitt79, we live in a horrible time. me and my buddies used to go out at night and pile into the back of a buddy's pick up truck, drive around with about 8 of us back there.. When is the last time you saw anyone riding in the back of a pickup truck? We used to go out to concerts in Star lake in the back of a pickup, sitting on about 7 cases of Milwaukee's best.. Nowadays, you go to jail if your 9 year old isn't strapped into a baby seat. Are you kidding me? I used to sit on the armrest next to the driver when I was a kid.

I am surprised that, when they all rushed the court, a big hole did not open up and suck them all in.

Would have given new meaning to the term 'Morganhole'.

Are you sure you didn't go to WVU?

This is kind of what I'm talking about! If you're just joking, I'M NOT, I personally MISS that world! LOL!

No, I am not kidding around. Nothing better than riding in the back of a pickup truck. Especially when you are 17, heading out to a concert in Burgettstown with endless cases of beer. I might have gone a bit overboard with the "sitting on the armrest in a car" I am telling you the truth that I did that as a kid but that one might not be such a great idea..

Well, we can't change who we are. Hopefully for your sake if you ever witness Pitt win an especially important game, someone will be kind enough to roll your butt onto the court so you can have some fun.

C'mon, Darth. Pitt has beaten #1's at The Pete and has beaten plenty of top 5 teams at The Pete. And all of them were better than this Kansas team (you have to admit this Kansas team isn't that good). The Pete has been host to more top 5 and top 10 teams than the Coliseum. But we never stormed the court because it's not safe for the players, coaches, and fans and because it shows a lack of class on the part of the fans. We have our fun in the stands.
