Toss those two of the list for possible Sept. 12. Game because they just agreed to play each other. The Citadel also has booked Clemson. One of the concerns for Pitt booking a game for this week was that the opponent also had a sound protocol to follow and rightly so . I am sure the Citadel - a military academy and a FCS school would have been a smart pickup for Pitt. We are running out of time and opponents because the game is only three weeks away and we need a game to serve as a tuneup for the tough schedule to follow. If you are gonna play a season you have to go full steam ahead.

Another reason why we need a game for that week is because our Sept19 oppponent which would be our opening game if we don’t book an opponent for Sept.12 Is Syracuse and they would have a game under their belt due to the fact that they open up on the 12th with NCarolina.
