Man I would love to see that. Just so Ben has to squirm a bit and play for a guy who won’t take his crap. Belichick is a guy who players and assistant coaches know will fire them if they don’t get the job done. If Belichick’s special teams were the worst in the league, do you think the coach would be around? Yet the Steelers are happy with danny Smith.

But to answer your question, nothing. Because Rooney seems to be a guy who really doesn’t care much about playoff wins. He’s a lot like Souf in that way.

The Rooney stated goal was at least one playoff win per season. Now I’m not sure what it is because they’ve won 3 games in ten years and all that they’ve done is fire two token coaches.

It’s not my responsibility to offer up solutions. And furthermore it’s been reported that Steeler minority owners have been fed up for a couple of years too and have offered up their own solutions. But Rooney won’t listen to them. He’s the majority owner. It’s his team.

The shame of it though is that it’s taken this ridiculous circus for people to realize that the Steelers were a product of Dan Rooney and nothing more. They were the joke of the league for 35 years before him, and they have been the joke of the league after him. I really hope I’m wrong, but the Art Rooney we see today is likely the Art Rooney who will never lead this franchise back to what it used to be under his father. People are hoping that the Patriots ascension to the leagues most successful franchise will be the wake up call for Rooney. I do not have the confidence.
