Not the game, but the decision

"Down 7 late, Pitt kicks, loses as PSU rivalry stops"

I agree and hate the decision, even if ups would stop the 4th down try they would have gain possession at their 2 yd.line or so with over 4 min. remaining and if PItt gets a stop perhaps we getthe

I'd rather try and fail with them pinned in at the 2, the make the FG and give them a return or touchback. All time bad decision. Will be remembered for the ages.

9:30pm and still listed with the top headlines. This one will be questioned for a long, long time.

legit by this time next week there’s gonna be something else to talk about.

honestly for me I probably won’t be huge on this loss after UCF, especially if we win that game

Because it was the last game against PSU for probably a generation... this screw up will be talked about for a long time.

I was thinking the same thing. Pat should start lobbying for that “neutral site” game ASAP.

I don't think a "neutral site" game is the worst thing for Pitt sports. A game in Philly every 4 years wouldn't be ideal, but it'd have some merit IMO. Not sure I'd agree to a game outside PA, though.

I think the wasting of timeouts were almost worse. Seriously wasting a time out to save 5 yards on a punt? Then wasting another one because your defense is a mess. Then on the fake wasting another one. Imagine that last drive with all 3 time outs and not wasting 25 seconds to get a play in while the clock was running. I have seen high school teams run a two minute offence more efficiently.

I was okay with the one when our defense was gassed and you had us on the run. The TO followed by a Punt cannot happen.

I think that actually was worse. The field goal try was bad, and pretty flawed logic. It wasn’t like there was absolutely no reason for it though, it was just a pretty bad reason. The timeouts on the other hand, that was just ridiculous. That’s problem actually my biggest criticism of Narduzzi, he acts like timeouts are infinite and it’s no big deal to just call one on a whim.

Just wait until Monday or Tuesday when Narduzzi says something like “after reviewing the decision to kick the field goal from the 1 yard line, I still think it was the right call.”

The timeout before the punt was assanine.
