Tomlin and the coaching staff

If we fire Cowher in 1999, I’m not sure we win 2 super bowls after that and get to a 3rd.
You're wrong. See, The Steelers fire Cowher in December 1999 and instead hire Belichick from the Jets instead of letting New England land him. The Steelers have to surrender their 1st round pick, losing out on Plaxico, but then Bill drafts Brady in the 6th round of that draft and the Steelers win 6 Super Bowls instead of 2.

Reid is able to do that because he has Mahomes and Kelce, sure his teams in Philly scored points but they got bounced early in the playoffs against teams with solid D's and lost to the worst of New England's Super Bowl winning teams his first trip to the big game.
So, by trying to run the ball and play D and shorten the game and keep it close, the Steelers have won 2 Super bowls in the last 44 years, so given the choice, I'd rather have fun watching someone try to do it Reid's way and hope they can luck into a Mahomes or even another Ben.

Maybe not, but not firing people isn't always the formula either, Tampa Bay fired Dungy and won a Super Bowl the next year with Gruden, sometimes people say that a good team is missing a piece, and who's to say that the head coach can't be the missing piece. So while you make a good point, keeping the same coach forever isn't sure to be a success either. Maybe if the Steelers fire Tomlin after losing the AFCCG 2016, and get a different coach to run that talented 2017 team a different way, maybe that team wins it all specifically because of a spark of new leadership? Or not, nothing is guaranteed, neither is never changing as the Rooneys prefer. Funny thing too, 2 of the last 3 Penguins Cup winners, won the Cup after firing the head coach mid season.

Reid was also was winning 10+ games a year with Alex Smith at QB. Best coach in the NFL during this era.
At first I agreed, but it depends on when you want to start the era. As much as I rag on Belichick's post-Brady record, he still went to 9 Super Bowls and won 6 of them.

This is a bingo. I’ve always hated the “Tomlin won with Cowher’s players” position that people take. Yeah it’s true, but someone has to coach them and you still have to win, and plenty of coaches have talented teams and can’t win playoff games let alone championships with talented rosters. You still have to coach them. So Tomlin deserves all the credit.

The same goes for Belichick. Are people seriously going to minimize his accomplishments because he had Tom Brady? Give me a break. The guy is the best that ever lived. Unless of course one wants to minimize his accomplishments because he’s a known cheater, at which point I can get behind that. But one would also have to minimize Brady’s accomplishments too for the same reason.
