I am offended by this. What is a Penn State coach doing at our facility and why is the coach of the PITTSBURGH Steelers doing tweeting a picture of himself with the coach of a hated rival? I don't think Narduzzi would tweet a picture of himself with Bill Belichick or John Harbaugh.
Why the **** was Franklin at our facility? Do we need to increase our security budget?
Why does JF have to do the #1 finger thing, can't he just be civil, stand there for the picture and smile like the other 2?
Frankfurter is spying.
Simple. It is not Pitt's facility.QUOTE]
Its a UPMC Facility. UPMC is Pitt as far as I'm concerned.
I think Franklin visiting the UPMC facilities works out to Pitt's advantage. A lot! I mean honestly, when Franklin is asked about his visit is he really going to say anything negative about them? No, everything he says about the facilities is going to be positive or he'll look like a jerk to the Steelers. And if he says anything positive about the Steelers facilities, he's basically saying positive things about Pitt's facilities. Hopefully he says "world class facilities.". Hopefully he says something like "it was cool to be next to the Steelers and see them practice." Nothing like getting a rival coach to promote your university's facilities and relationship with the Steelers.
Also a positive for Narduzzi... Why would narduzzi want to go visit the facilities in state college? He wouldnt. But the PSU head coach wants to visit the UPMC sports facilities (Pitt's facilities) because he wants to get a glimpse of an NFL practice and their facilities.
Hey Franklin, come back soon

"On the fence?"Honestly, Penn State fans a gloating that Tomlin said "Go Penn State. Go Pitt. On the fence." Guess what, Franklin is in a position now where he has to say nice things about the Steelers (Pitt). Thanks for the complimentary quotes coach.
That is just as easily turned around by Pitt offering the belief that Franklin had to get out of state college to find something we have next door.Simple. It is not Pitt's facility. If Pitt is trying to utilize practicing next to the Steelers as an asset, then Franklown is going to use it against Pitt if he can.
You want to spend the summer in State College and spend all your time awaiting an arts festival that turns into a public urinal, be my guest! You guys nailed it. James from state college seems to enjoy pittsburgh a lot
"On the fence?"
The guy is coaching the PITTSBURGH Steelers. He has to at least pretend to be more of a fan of the PITTSBURGH Panthers than the team from State College. Geez. That's bad.
Would like to see Pat flash him a 4 1 2.Why does JF have to do the #1 finger thing, can't he just be civil, stand there for the picture and smile like the other 2?
Honestly, what do you want Mike Tomlin to say there? "Pitt is it! PSU Stinks!" Come on now. Tomlin doesn't want berated by Pitt or PSU fans because he says he leans one way or the other. He took a picture with two rival coaches and gave a neutral tweet. That's the right move. And don't forget, a lot of Pitt and PSU fans cheer for the same team on Sunday's.

I have a sneakins suspicion Tomlin couldnt care less about Pitt or Penn state
It's a great picture that most will appreciate 20 years from now. The #1 thing is a bit narcissistic considering the location and company.
I like the picture personally as a football fan.
His Boss has as big of a relationship with the PSU fanbase because they make up a very big contingent of the Steelers fanbase. Anyone who gets upset about this is scrapping the bottom of the barrel for braincells on a daily basis. How about, "PA College Football is in good hands" or something like that. He doesn't have to say "Go" anything. Penn State is NOT a Pittsburgh team. Its a Central PA team that has a lot of fans and alums in the area. That doesnt make it a Pittsburgh team. Would he say "Go Buckeyes." They are the #3 team in this area (based on that Facebook Fan Map).
His "on the fence" comment is highly highly offensive. Not only is he coaching in the same town as the PITTSBURGH Panthers, his boss has a deep business relationship with Pitt (along with being Pitt alums and donors). The better Pitt is, the more money the Rooneys make, the more money they have to improve the Steelers (and pay Tomlin). The Steelers benefit from Pitt about a million times more than they benefit from that Cult up in the middle of nowhere. If Tomlin doesn't take that quote down himself, he should be made to. What a moron!

BTW, for you crazies, he actually mentioned Pitt and CPN first!!!1!
Pro Tip: Read the post in the quote. It should let you figure out what is being discussed.Who’s boss? What the hell are you talking about?
Yes, it is about time for the dominatrix to hit the road for that 3 hour trek to the metropolis of st college.

I'll let you re-read and figure it out. Teach a man to fish and everything. Good luck.

You're nuts. It's no big deal at all and not offensive in the least. No need to get unhinged about a tweet with a neutral comment. How about, "PA College Football is in good hands" or something like that. He doesn't have to say "Go" anything. I thought the same exact thing. Put the stupid finger down. Why does JF have to do the #1 finger thing, can't he just be civil, stand there for the picture and smile like the other 2?
He is clearly emulating the Paterno statue
In all seriousness, he does the #1 thing to emulate the Nittany Lion mascot who always has the #1 finger up in pictures. He literally said this.
