At face value that’s 100% true. As I said before after last season we’ve been playing with house money since we cleared 5-0. However, a loss by a TD or two to a good team in at least a semi-competitive game is one thing. This was a much deeper cut than just a notch in the loss column. An absolute all-phases embarrassment of a beatdown by the #20 team in the country. This one was a soul crusher.

Facts - Pitt was projected to win 5 games before the season. Pitt was a 7.5 point underdog against SMU.

Thanks for the info. I dont remember him being hired. Our ST is actually better this year, not great, but not costing us games like it did the last few years. Since we fired the HC I am sure he will be moving on.
