Vandy

So Vandy got rid of one of the best coaches they ever had?

So 2 programs touched by Stallings in the last 4 years has gone winless in conference play?

So KS to Pitt was bad for Pitt, KS, and Vandy. The amazing part is that we are slightly better off, even with two years of KS.

Surprising in Year 3, they went 0-fer. A lottery pick, Garland, was lost early this year for them.

Not sure going to pitt was bad for K$, just bad for everybody else.

IMHO--Had we hired Capel vs Stallings to begin with the scenario that followed would have likely been much different. Possibly as follows:

1. Capel immediately finds a PG recruit to replace James Robinson and Pitt wins ~10 in the ACC and goes to the NCAAs in year #1.
2. Cam and Luther stay and Capel brings in a couple of top 100 recruits and year two, instead of being 8-24 (0-19 ACC), is another 20 win season and an NCAA bid and a couple more top 100 players recruited.
3. This season becomes another 20 plus win season, NCAA bid and we finish in the upper 1/3 of the ACC and recruiting gets even better.

Wow.

Didn't they have like the greatest class in Vandy history? What happened?

And Bryce Drew was a clear upgrade over Stallings proven by his first recruiting class.

So he lands a NCAAT berth with Stallings leftovers and proceeds to lose 20 the next followed by this disaster. No doubt he will be fired in short order.

Maybe, just maybe, some will recognize winning at Vandy is not easy.

LOL. Sucks that we have to put our Final Four reservations off for a couple of years doesn't it?

Don't even care so much about a final four--I have never, and never will, complain about not making the final-four.

Just would have been preferred to not have had the bottom completely fall out due to the atrocious hire by Barnes.

Water over the dam anyway at this point!
