I still see Pitt having a tough road against Penn State's Franklin but that could change seeing results on game day. These are going to be some very coveted Recruits in 2017 and that is where Coach Pat will have two seasons under his belt similar to where Coach Franklin is at now. Right now Franklin has Six Four Star Recruits for 2016 ranked at #12 on Rivals as Pitt Coach Pat has Pitt at #44 with 3 Recruits. Here are the Top Players for 2017 from LINK below PantherPrey Website!
Panther Prey Future Recruits 2017:
1. D'Andre Swift, St. Joseph's Prep (Philadelphia) RB- Dynamic runner with speed, quickness, and vision. Already solidly built at 5'9" and 200 pounds. Early offers have come from the likes of Pittsburgh, Penn State, and Alabama and he's just a sophomore. Enough said.
2. Lamont Wade, Clairton Area HS (Clairton) CB- Highly talented cover corner at 5'10" and 180 pounds. Excellent speed and athleticism. Should be a national recruit but Tyler Boyd was under recruited so you never know. He already has offers from Pittsburgh, Penn State, West Virginia, and Ohio State.
3. Paris Ford, Seton-LaSalle HS (Pittsburgh) S- Perfect combination of speed, athleticism, length, and range for the position. At 6'2" and 175 pounds, he's skinny now but when he fills out he's going to be special. Also a great hitter. Early offers include Pittsburgh, Penn State, West Virginia, and Michigan.
4. Josh Lugg, North Allegheny HS (Wexford) OT- Even though he's still a sophomore in high school he's already 6'6" and 280 pounds so size is not a problem. He also moves very well. Should be a major recruit nationally. Already has offers offers from Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.
5. Donovan Jeter, Beaver Falls HS (Beaver Falls) DE/DT- Already a very strongly built 6'4" and 260 pounds, he has the athleticism to play at end, but if he gets too big he can move inside. Super athlete for his size and if he were a little taller he would be a major basketball recruit. Pittsburgh and Penn State have offered.
6. CJ Thorpe, Central Catholic HS (Pittsburgh) OT- Already a giant 6'5" and 305 pounds, and he looks even bigger than that. Runs well despite his massive size. Has early offers from Pittsburgh, Penn State, West Virginia, and Tennessee.
7. Robert Hainsey, Gateway Area HS (Monroeville) OL- At most he's 6'4" and 260 pounds now so how much more he grows will determine where he plays on the line, but he has great feet for a lineman and that will always get a kid a lot of offers. In this case the early offers have come from Pittsburgh, Penn State, West Virginia, Michigan State, and Tennessee.
8. David Adams, Central Catholic HS (Pittsburgh) LB- Typical hard nosed western PA linebacker in the mold of Paul Posluszny, Sean Lee, or Scott McKillop. A solid 6'1" and 225 pounds already and he has good speed and athleticism too. Pittsburgh, Penn State, and West Virginia have offered already.
9. Damion Barber, Harrisburg HS (Harrisburg) DE- Great wingspan already at 6'4" and 220 pounds. Excellent range and quickness. Pass rushers are at a premium so his offer list should eventually be impressive. So far Rutgers and Temple offered.
10. Mark Webb, Archbishop Wood HS (Warminster) WR- Excellent length already at 6'3" and will eventually fill out his 175 pound frame. Doesn't get featured much at powerful Archbishop Wood but the length, speed, and hands he possesses will get him good offers. He already has offers from Penn State and Temple.
