The reporters are supposed to report facts as they learn, inquire and observe. You should assess their objectivity. Keep in mind, if you are biased to the report or are the facts so reported against your opinion.
Then there are the op ed section where opinions are given like Gen Mattis recent opinion against Trump. Consider what validity is there in that opinion even if it’s against what I believe.
