Wade

I think they are just BFFs
saw another thread, these two are cooking up something. so all of us numbskulls will just go ahead and assume this means something with pitt and recruiting, the cynical types will assume this is them having fun with us losers and the realists will believe that maybe it's not football related at all.

Both want to enroll early and jeter is having visions of coming out of the tunnel to 100k screaming fans so yeah, we got that goin for us..

Things are looking much better on the Wade front. Making up ground very fast.

Its going to be a Hamlin part 2. Seriously i couldn't see a player like Wade wasting away in that cesspol in the middle of the state. Where there is nothing but cows and zombies

Thanks shere. You give us optimism. Jeter and Wade would be a great shot in the arm for this year's recruiting for sure.

Jeter is a Pitt lock. How can he have fun with twitter and recruiting for 4 months if he doesn't send false smoke signals?

And with OSU out, Wade is ours also.

You know PH, I also think Jeter is a Pitt lock. Now, with Wade, for the longest time I didn't think he was coming our way. But now I'm starting to wonder. I said a long time ago that OSU will not be an option for him. I think it's a 3 team race for Wade, us, PSU and Tenn. One thing that is sticking in my mind, when he did that 2 part interview with Vuc's site, he said the most important thing he's looking at is playing time. He called it on a scale of 1-10 he called early playing time a 12. Or something like that.

Jeter....yes

Wade...wouldn't surprise me either way

I think Michigan has pissed off Wade, started a bit of a war, I cant remember what they said he was, in essence, not a top notch recruit or something.

It sounded like a serious bum hurt. If it is serious enough, I would think OSU would be close to the lead. If you hate a school that much (ie, UPS for pittsburghers), then you may want to kick their arse each year.

I do think OSU is so stacked in the defensive backfield that ultimately he will choose us. I think EVEN if we get stacked in the backfield, we would make it a top priority to get him on the field as something in some way, any way possible. I dont think those other schools would do that. They wouldnt have the public outcry to do it either like the local boy at Pitt would have... see Dorin Dickerson

wade called michigan his dream school, wanted an offer. harbaugh told him he wasn't a top level player. wade was told he would have to camp at michigan to gain an offer. wade and hudson are really tight, part of the reason for his interest in michigan.

osu, wade couldn't commit if he wanted to. they are on another level.

us, psu and tenn is in the running.

I often wonder how much better Pitt could have been had two Super Top Stars Local Recruits Robert Foster joined Tyler Boyd at Pitt!

Pitt has Whitehead looking like a first round pick in the NFL 2 years from now, and Hamlin following right behind him 3 years from now, and Lamont Wade can join the trio 4 years from now?

I will call that the Pittsburgh Triangle For The Defense if all could play together next year!

What is even more important and should not be overlooked is how Head Coach Pat Narduzzi is known for developing Elite Defensive Backs for the NFL, better than any other Head Coaches Lamont is considering right now?

I will respect Lamont Wade and wish him the Best no matter what he decides to do, just like I did Terrelle Pryor and Robert Foster, and one day Lamont may be defending against them in the NFL as Wideouts, as Whitehead and Revis will be doing as Cornerbacks too!

Why Be A Servant To Other Programs When You Can Become A Son Of Pitt Is It!

Pitt's Sons of Hall of Fames know no Shame!

Shere. Well Said.

Just a hunch, but I don't think he thinks Pitt is big-time enough for him.

If he wasn't from Clairton I would think that. Tyler Boyd is like a god there, and if it was good enough for TB.....

Also, the slaps in the face from OSU and UM might temper his "i'm too big for ____" attitude.

Pitt can be a BIG program once again, to be considered a powerhouse. It all depends on what this new administration wants, so far, seems like they want to win games, making all the right moves.

I agree, I feel Pitt can easily turn it around with Great coaching and support from Great Chancellor and Good AD but Pitt needs a Coach that stays and wins at Pitt for 10 years or more, I think Narduzzi loves this area and wants to do just that in my opinion. Majors and Sherrill said their biggest Career Regrets were leaving Pitt and out in there books!

No question Pitt can become another UCLA, Arizona, GT, Northwestern and WVU the next 3-5 years, and move towards 10+ game Winning like Baylor, TCU, Iowa, and Duke, 5-10 years becoming a Program much on par with consistent winning in the Top 25 MSU, Wisconsin, VT, Miami, and KSU.

I do feel Pitt can become on the Elite Program Level such as BAMA, Michigan, OSU, Texas, OU, Georgia, FSU, Notre Dame, USC, and Stanford.

Yeah....it would be terrible to have to follow Boyd, Whitehead, Donald, etc to the NFL
Good point, but also Whitehead and Hamlin into making Pitt Best Secondary in FBS! Together, Wade makes it a Hat Trick under a Coach Known to make First Rounders in the NFL!

Needs to talk to Vinopal and Revis too on advantage going to Pitt!

Mr. Wade,

This could be you next year being a home town hero!

He better get over that because most of the "big-time" schools wouldn't accept his commitment right now.
I guess you have the info pipeline of the century and must be plugged into every P5 program in the country. Of course no big time program would take a consensus top 100 player............

Yeah I don't even know where some of these guys get this kind of stuff. He's one of the most heavily recruited players in the country.

Wade can pretty much take his pick. It would be beautiful if he decides to stay home, but whatever happens, happens. Pitt football will be better off with him, but OK without him.

Almost all of them would take him. However, the ones kids get caught up on as "big time" like Ohio State, Michigan, and Alabama pretty clearly aren't right now, so he needs to wise up and pick a school that is making him a priority. Hopefully that is Pitt.

The issue is if he is getting caught up on being "big time" at this point and putting Pitt below those others in consideration because of it. Obviously, the comment wasn't about all P5 schools. You'd have to be an idiot to have thought that.

"Pretty much" is true, but if he is caught up on "big time" and not putting Pitt there, he is going to be in for a rude awakening with regard to some of them. People on here can get butt hurt about it if they want, but Wade has found himself passed over by 3 of the "big time" schools for other commitments or targets. Part of that is evaluation, obviously, and part of that is a rush of commitments of the best players this year, beyond the point that is becoming the norm. That in no way means he isn't one of the highest priorities or potential lands for Pitt.

Wade has a special quality that stands up to anyone or anything. Wade exudes a quiet determined confidence reminding of me of what one once saw in a young Fitzgerald, Revis, Donald, Conner, Boyd and Whitehead.

Wade carries look with an edge about himself as well and it is not boastful, or spoiled talent, nor arrogance.....it is pure focus, determination, and he knows himself and when Wade chooses that particular Football Program he is going to make everyone better around him, not by talking but by leading just by example.

I hope it is Pitt but I will respect Wade wherever he goes because he earns respect by how he plays and handle himself. Others can differ, but they won't change my mind, Wade is the Real Deal!

So he would be their 4th CB in this class? I don't think that will happen. Wade will pick PITT imo.

Here is an article about OSU's top targets for 2017 from the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Wade made the list. If I'm reading this correctly, it seems to be an issue of if OSU would let him enroll early that could effect him going there. Of course this is just a newspaper article in the summer so take for what it is worth.
