UVA is also allowed to move laterally on their off the ball picks, the Pitt defenders often seemed to get slowed down fighting through the screens.

Another thread asked why Capel doesn't install a better offense. This offense is predicated upon creating mismatches. Even against UVA I thought Pitt got a fair number of open looks. With a lineup of two combo guards whose strength is driving to the hoop , two wings who have not quite developed "a game " and a lean center with a decent shot from 15 feet, I like the way the team plays with the type of players on the roster. I do think (1) that the ball movement is too slow and (2) the assist to TO ratio should be better. I'd really like an offense that passes the ball better and with purpose.
