Win out and we will be fine

Probably more significant is that Pitt is 5th in the NCAA division 1 committee rankings. That means they would potentially NOT host the quarterfinal round.

The somewhat disheartening thing is that in an interview about the release the committee head noted that three teams, Texas, Baylor and Wisconsin, were clearly well ahead of the rest of the field.

Wow. Hard to imagine so. But ok.

It really isn't. I guess the team most people are "offended" by would be Wisconsin. Well, Wisconsin is so far undefeated in what is clearly and obviously the best conference in the country. They already have wins against the teams that are in second, third and fourth in their conference. They have already played 11 games against the top 27 (counting Michigan) in this week's poll, and 8 of them were against the top 15. And they still have games against Nebraska and Penn State left on the schedule.

They might be playing the best of anyone in the country right now.

Yeah I checked their schedule. It’s pretty solid. But I just can’t believe this pitt team wouldn’t be a top seed.

I still think that with only one loss we'll be in pretty good shape. Because there is still a chance for the others to lose too. Obviously Texas and Baylor still have to play again. We should root for Texas, because a Baylor win might leave the two of them at one and two. And of course Nebraska or the nitters could beat Wisconsin and it wouldn't even be a big upset. We could probably use Stanford to lose one more as well.

Our RPI was 4 when this week started. That is up from 5 last week and 7 the week before that.
