I’m trying to remember a Pitt pass play that went downfield between the numbers. Can’t seem to think of one. Can you? If you’re a d coordinator and you see this on film, doesn’t your game planning get just a touch easier?

Again one or two good throws doesn’t not keep the defense Honest. If your qb can’t successfully complete a pass over the middle mid range to deep and even worse rarely throws one on that area it makes defending easy

Pickett's deep ball is pretty bad. We tried several today but all but one were terrible.

His real strength are mid range out patterns. If he gets these deep patterns down, he could be good for us.

You may be on to something. During camp the bragged that he didn’t throw a pick. Maybe that’s because he was being over coached not to take risks

Watch good QBs. They throw the ball before the WR comes out of his break.
They throw down the middle of the field and lead the wR

Maybe Pickett will do that in time. But right now he’s very limited

When you score 7 points in. The second half the offense is part of the problem.
