I apologize but I find posts like this hours after a win and the culmination of an entire career to be classless and shitty.
Honestly I'm a Pitt football fan and the commitment these kids make is large. This guy fought through 2 coaching staffs and worked hard. It's not his fault he's the best we had. Sometimes it's best to say nothing at all.

So you can't be a fan and conclude Webb is awful?
You can actually conclude both. He tried his best, worked his butt off, got on the field when called (all true) and still was not a D1 level D Back. He takes bad angles because he is not a great athlete at this level. He's not quick enough or fast enough to get to D1 receivers and backs. That's the truth. No reason to call names or disparage. They called his number and he went in. We all would do the same. Shows how truly bad the talent is behind him. Recruits' eyes should be lit up.

Damar Hamlin could barely get on the field, I'm not sure two high school seniors would do all that much.
I agree with Bob, trashing a kid on senior day is awful classless.
-Hamlin was injured all year with a hamstring. He shouldn't even have played, but our depth is so bad, he had to.
Terrish Web gave the best that he had throughout his career at Pitt. I doubt that any of those here deriding his ability could display (at their peak) anything resembling his skills. Always keep in mind that Pitt asked him to come here and that the coaches are responsible for his recruitment, development and playing Stating that we need a serious upgrade at safety or linebacker is a fair statement, but attacking a player personally because he does not have the physical tools to play at some higher level is mean-spirited and unfair. Why not attack all the other players who are sitting on the bench behind him?
During his time at Pitt Terrish has represented Pitt with honor and integrity. And I am sure the great majority of Pitt fans thank him for his effort and contributions and hopefully, will soon welcome him as a proud alumnus.

Webb was better as a frosh and soph than as a junior and senior

How did he regress so much? Did he play hurt this year? - still no explanation for the angles he takes
He did have that great int against N.D. and maybe another one , but senior day or not, yesterday proved how bad he has played - Big lead, need to be playing soft - twice runs himself out of the play turning modest gains into 50 yard gains - totally inexcusable.
I'm all for calling a player for what he is, but I think it's bs to single him out. Mitchell was no better and you should be trashing the guys who can't beat him out either...briggs. Don't single out Webb for being the best of the worst.
I just wanted yesterday's game to be over and Webb kept taking himself out of position and giving up huge plays. It drove me crazy and I had to say something - Sorry
How about I would like Stocker to play ahead of Webb in the bowl game? Am I allowed to suggest that?

Me personally, I never trash a PITT player.. Now Antonio Brown running our of bounds with no time left.. Trash him and Franco all day everyday..

not his fault he's the best we have. Thank the prior regime for leaving the defensive cupboard totally bare. Even Price was a Graham recruit, so outside of Whitehead Chryst and his staff left us with a MAC defense. Webb, like Maddox, Mitchell, Caprara, etc,was in way over his head. The bar is set low for the next free safety.
I think that's a fine line. I don't think think avonte Maddox is a mac player. I think he's a power 5 player but one who should have been starting as a 4th year junior or 5th year senior or playing the nickel back. He was pressed into duties years before he was ready. On that end it goes back to your point of poor defensive recruiting by the previous regime and or losing some classes.
