Week 1- Two Deep

--The slashes dont mean anything. The live press conference means everything.
Yeah-watched that and read the transcript of it as well, strictly because I knew you were full,of it-there was no way Duzzi demoted Ollison to 4th string. Sure enough, he said NO SUCH THING, and you fictionalized your account of it as usual.

Or did he give another presser today that wasn't published in video and with transcript on the Pitt website?

Having DB talent like Reggie Mitchell coming of the bench highlights the quick uptick in depth. Injury aside, he seemed to be among the most trustworthy DB talents on the field not too long ago. Future, and present, are bright for Pitt.

Agreed. Pitt had a number of DBs get burned over the passed few seasons. It's been quite frustrating to watch. Reggie has been the most reliable DB on game day. I know I'd sure feel better as a DC or HC knowing I had a healthy Reggie Mitchell ready to go this year.

-Shocker.

McKee (6'2") and Brightwell (6'0") are both listed as 210 pounds. Therein may lie the problem with them playing more than spot or situational duty.

Though Idowu is only listed as 6' and 215#; and Zeise is listed as 6'2" and 225#...

I was glad to see Aaron Mathews in the 2-deep backing up Weah. I think Aaron contributes this season.

Go Pitt.

Agreed.

Less of a suprise, but I thought Webb and Mitchell would be OR, instead of Webb listed as starter and Mitchell backup.

Yes. Is it possible Reggie never fully recovered from one of his injuries? Unless that's the case, I will be surprised if Mitchell does not play the majority of time. Webb is a solid player and some of the freshman look like they will be good, but I think Reggie will prove to again to be one of the most reliable players again on game day.

The three back up RBs are listed with the now famous Narduzzi "or."

He has stated that he likes to play the "or" game to keep everybody motivated. We may hear all these coaches commenting about how good Hall and Moss are in practice-and maybe they will prove to be very good during the season, but I would be stunned if this staff does not make Ollison the #2 option on game day and the first choice to replace Conner in a series should he need a breather.

Jesus Steel not everything is an argument....at his presser he amended a few positions and added Challingsworth to the two deep with Allen Edwards.........Also Conner is the starter and Moss Hall and Ollison are the backups hence the "OR" next to their names....

You said you watched the presser and heard Narduzzi say that Ollison is now the #4 back. You also said something to the effect that Narduzzi has a lot of balls to come right out and announce a freshman as the #2 guy and ACC FOY Ollison #4. I watched the presser and he didn't say anything even close to that. He said JC is #1 and the other 3 will get their reps. You can't keep your stories straight.
