And we have achieved peak apathy.

This Mintz story is HUGE.... and there's a couple threads here and maybe 60-70 posts about it by about 15-20 posters.

In the span of one week, we lost a starter because he punched a cop, lost a game to team full of players that literally wouldn't get a single offer from a Power Conference team, and now lost our only recruit for 2022.

Within a week, we might not have a coach. And that would be a GOOD thing.

I'm too apathetic about Pitt hoops to even be angry. And that is shocking to me, because I used to be one of the biggest die-hard Pitt hoops fans on this board. Now.... I might not watch a single game the rest of the year. I literally do NOT care.

In a weird way... I'm angry that I'm not MORE angry about this. I was livid when we hired Stallings. I frankly don't care what happens next. I'm checking out.

I'm so apathetic that, if we're talking about Pitt basketball news, I'd almost rather have it be something bad than something good so that I can at least read some funny replies. I'm not talking about major news that could change the program's fortunes around, but just modest news.

Just like I haven't watched a Pirate game in years, so too will be my approach with Pitt basketball this season (I've sort of been weaning off it for a few years now). It's just a really piss poor product right now, and I'm not going to watch us get shellacked 20+ times this season just so I can establish my "true fan" street cred. I used to have season tickets, but I couldn't even imagine making the effort to go watch this team play live right now. That just sounds awful. I'd have more fun calling bingo numbers at a retirement home.

Same, brother. Same.

I had season tickets. Don't anymore. And wouldn't go to a game now if I were given free tickets.

Will the Zoo even show up for any games this year? Doubtful.

I posted yesterday that Mintz would be nuts to sign with Capel and that the fans weapon is apathy. Don't buy tix and don't go to games if you have them. Don't donate them back to Pitt or give them away. Shred them. Lyke needs a defib shot to get her attention. Make negative noise to get the end of this catastrophe started. Gallagher needs to step in and hold her accountable.

Good for you and the program. More apathy might lead to a faster resolution of this mess.
