When was the last time

No clue but started looking and remembered we almost hung 100 on Virginia Stallings first year.

We didn't make more than 9 in a game last year. The year before we did have 13 against VMI and a few other 10s and an 11m but no 14s. So it looks like the last time was December 2017 when we went 14-33 against McNeese State. We had 10 games with double digit threes that season (and managed to lose 7 of them).

We also made 14 in the CBI game against Wofford in 2012. We also had 14 against UMBC in December of 2008. And in November 2003 against Albany. I'm back to 2002 now and I still haven't found a 15 (or more).

OK, I looked in the media guide. Pitt has only made more than 14 threes in a game one time in history. Pitt made 16 threes against Notre Dame on January 29, 1997. 14 is tied for second in school history with seven other games. There were 13 made threes nine times.

Jason Maile in 97??

Maile was personally 8-12 is that game against Villanova.

Eight is tied for the Pitt record (with Jared Wilson-Frame against Syracuse two seasons ago and Andre Aldridge in 1994) but that was not the game that the team set the record for most makes by the team.

Certainly the high water mark of the Stallings era. We were 13-21 from three as we scored 88 points with an OT.

At the time, it looked like that team was really ready to do something. Then we lost our next 8.

That cast Stallings fate at Pitt IMO. That team should have been an NCAA team or certainly an
NIT... instead they completely tanked and the players and coaches seem to turn on each other.
