Who to root for?

Unc over duke
Louisville over virginia
Notre dame over clemson

Duke or Clemson loss guarantees a double bye plus a Virginia loss sets up an outright title

Tennessee over Auburn
Kansas State over WVU
Duke over UNC (I know it gets us the double bye but I’d rather have a bubble team lose)
ND over Clemson (another way to get a double bye though I doubt it happens)
USC over Arizona St

How important do you think finishing in too four is to the committee? ND did last year but barely got in. I do want the double bye, so go Heels!!!

Tomorrow may be even bigger for the bubble, especially looking at the Big Ten. We will want the following in the Big Ten tomorrow:

IU over Michigan
Minnesota over Wisconsin
Northwestern over Rutgers
Maryland over Penn State

Nice upset by Colorado State last night over New Mexico. Not a huge threat but they were still in a few brackets per bracket matrix.

Biggest game besides Pitt/Miami is Cuse/Wake as we need Cuse to win to likely remain in top 135 for a quad 2 road win.

While some of these are not on bubble, we also want:
Bama over A&M
Baylor over Iowa State
Ohio State over MSU
Kentucky over Arkansas
Ole Miss over Mizz
UNLV over Nevada
Texas Tech over Ok State
Vandy over Miss State

Well Vandy had to play Weds and lost and that eliminated them. Finishing 5th would put Pitt in a similar situation with an elimination game Weds.

Except a UVA loss means we lose a Q1 home win. Probably lose it anyway if UVA squeaks bye again.

Seton Hall with a nice win over providence is good. A&M and Iowa state with upsets is not helpful. Virginia looking strong early should help maintain their net as quad 1. Tenn vs Auburn is biggest game for Pitt as Auburn has been sliding. Need a Tenn win.

UVA whipping UL so that slim chance of clinching a double bye by the boards. But really that will come down to UNC if Miami wins because ND won’t beat Clemson.

WVU may punch their ticket if they win. Auburn also beating Tennessee.

WVU and Auburn are in. They were 2 of the last 4 byes. uVA wins by 15 which might be just enough to stay 30 in NET.

VT taking care of FSU which would make FSU and GT the 12/13 game. GT won at BC and is playing well and likely will be the Weds matchup for the 5 seed. Syracuse and Wake is now the 8/9 game for the 1 seed on Thursday.

I can't imagine a team that has 18 wins at this time, like wvu has, even being remotely close to being an NCAAT team. And they're sub-0.500 in conference. The Big 12 isn't as strong as many assume.

They are now a lock. There is no doubt anymore.

The only people who don't think that the Big 12 is strong are the ones who don't watch basketball and the ones who watch, but don't know what they are seeing.

Given everything happening today, I expect Wisky and PSU to win tomorrow. Nevada in OT. Nothing going Pitt’s way.

2 last 4 in lost - Nevada and Miss State. Other 2 play tomorrow (Wisky and PSU)

2 last 4 bye had Q1 wins - WVU and Auburn and are in. Boise St losing to a first 4 out Utah State by 10 late. USC playing another first 4 out later (ASU).

Pitt probably in a last 4 bye slot pending tomorrow’s games.

UNC - first 4 out - lost and UM plays tomorrow.

WVU beat Pitt by 30 points in Pittsburgh, take a seat and just pray you don’t get put in a bracket with the Eers (or Pacific, or Bradley, or Butler).

The Pitt team that the hoopies beat by 30 a lot earlier in the year is NOT the same Pitt team that is playing now. If you don't know that, you must be a hoopie. And if Pitt gets in the same bracket as the hoopies, I pity the poor hoopies.
