Don’t think you were on the board unless it was under a different name. But lots of people were throwing around Brad Stevens, Greg Marshall and Shaka Smart a few years back when they were as hot as any name in the country. So plenty are detached from reality.
You know what he wants. Pitino or Sean Miller. Anything else is unacceptable.

Miller has a great job already. He isnt leaving Xavier right now. Obviously, Pitino would be a home run.

I’ve never looked up a case before but there’s one in the system. Took me about 3 minutes to find it but it’s on the docket. What would be the point of faking it to that level? Would require some deep insiders. Sounds like Dior’s people are as dumb as he is.

This is very true. Even if none of this happened, Johnson would have gotten into something before the end of the year and be out of here very soon. May as well get it over with now and kick him out before he gets a chance to screw up something else too bad.
We'll be basically the same team we were before he was recruited. Maybe he would have made a difference in 1 or 2 more wins, but that's about it. If Capel can get this squad to 0.500 overall, I'll be very surprised.
Here’s how it does change the trajectory. Without Dior, it’s hard to see how this year’s team can be much if any different than last years. With him, there was a chance.
Yes, there may have been a chance to improve by another 2, maybe 3 wins, if he stays the whole year. That's definitely an improvement over last year. Not much different, but different and a sign of better things to come. The question becomes, if none of this is true and he's still around, will be stay the whole year?
Maybe it’s a blessing in disguise. Nelly and Burton mesh well, the Marquette kid provides good depth, Santos shoots with confidence, Big John makes a jump, one twin is even better than advertised and 17 wins happens.
Exactly. With him....if he was as good as advertised, this team had a chance to make the NCAA Tournament. Not that they would have but that was the ceiling. Without him, the ceiling is the NIT unless multiple guys have insane breakout seasons like Burton, Jeffress, etc.

Contracts have buyouts. You didn't know that? That said, he names his job if he has another good year. He wont leave Colorado State for Pitt unless we pay him $5-$6 million per

I think your selling all the other new additions short . This team even without Dior was going to be better than last yrs team . Let’s at least see them in action before throwing in the towel .
With the same inept head coach and staff. A single player, if he's good enough, can overcome the incompetence of the head coach and make him look pretty good. It happened before with Capel. But when you lose that player, all bets are off.
I really don't expect this squad to be any different than last year's. Maybe generate 1 or 2 more wins, which won't make a difference in the big picture. The program is in shambles with no indication that it will get better until massive changes are made.
Truth - as I said before -
A true point guard with size and athleticism changes everything .
We’ll see how it shakes out
And honestly I don’t blame Capel for this turn with him
I blame him for being a below average coach and losing games
I don't blame Capel for any individual incident, but...
His overall tenure is extremely troubling
So what did you think ?
My impressions were that :
Hinson looks good , made a lot of jumpers , looks strong …Big John and him will hold their own inside
The twins can shoot the bb and have incredible range
Nike’s movement looked good
Elliot seemed to be laboring with his knee/lower body issue
Federiko should provide quality backup minutes inside
Santos looked good shooting the ball
They‘re taller and shoot the ball better if they can play D and rebound with or without Dior they’ll be better .
