As I said and was lambasted for saying it but if we have Conner, Ibrahim, Hall and Ollison healthy there will not be enough carries to go around.

I say no. Redshirt Hall and play Moss.
I haven't seen all this greatness from Hall that others are supposedly seeing.

I have missed "all this greatness" stuff about Moss.

Please link or provide the direct quotes, I would like to see this.

Moss isn't all that much different than Hall. They both are solid, one cut grinder types with average speed.

The one difference is that one extra year of maturity, physical and mental. All you are doing is equalizing them if you redshirt Hall and not Moss at this point.

Hall should be better physically and a little more mature now, and better able to help the team.

You can't assume it, all that Conner has had to deal with. But, the kid is as close to super human as you can get. IF he is at full strength and does not get hurt again, Canada and Nards would be nuts to not feed him the ball, which would not leave many carries to go to other guys.

But you've seen it from moss? Ibrahim is a non factor. At best, some 3rd and long snaps. Duzzi likes having a large stable of backs at his disposal.

Non factor?

Ibrahim not going to win the Heisman, but he can certainly be productive. I remember several games two years ago where Conner did little...for various reasons......but Ibrahim had a very good day.

I'd try to redshirt Hall and Moss and see if Conner, Ollision and Ibrahim can stay healthy all season. You likely need four running backs but blowing a kid's season for limited carries isn't fair to him. Garbage time carries can go to a walk-on.

The beauty of this debate is we will find out soon enough. If narduzzi agrees with you, we will see him in a prominent role, if not, we will see him get the occasional draw and screen on 3rd and 15.

It's 2 springs now that we've heard about how Hall is much better than his age tells us. For the 2nd year we hear about him being in front of Ollison on the depth chart, but when he is seen by the public (games last year and spring game thid year), Ollison plays much better.

So ya, Conner, Ollison and Ibrahim will get 90% of the touches. I'm ok with making Hall and Moss on the same playing field for 2017 leaving them both 3 years.

-Ive seen nothing from Hall outside of an overrated and inflated 4 star ranking. His yard per carry as a secondary player stinks. He only averaged over 5 yard per carry 1 time last year. That's terrible. Ibrahim averaged 8 yards per carry in 2014 and didnt play last year, and averaged 5 yards per carry in 2013, and can catch the ball a little bit. Moss hasnt even had a chance yet, and neither has George Hill. I would have Hall dead last out of all these players unless he has made some type of monster improvement, which I doubt. Now you can list the injury as to what has held Hall back. Fine, but that should still keep him last on the depth chart.

Depth Chart

Conner
Ollison
Moss / Ibraham
Hill
Hall

-Id also stick Whitehead, Henderson, and Ffrench in the wildcat. Our RB game will be 1000 fold better than last year.

No one knows about hall or Moss yet.. Either could be great or terrible. To stick up for hall here a bit, the kid should never of played last year. Less than a year off major knee surgery, true freshman.. He redshirts if it weren't for some very ridiculous bad luck in regards to our depth.. Very unfair to evaluate him based on last year...

BTW, using Ibrahim's ypc average is ridiculous.. The guy had a couple decent runs on 3rd and forevers in '14.. He is a good receiver out of backfield and I believe a good 3rd back option. I just don't see him being someone that is gonna get 6-7 carries a game, we have better options IMO..

Time will tell, Narduzzi is gonna play the best backs. He doesn't care about ratings, he wants to win games as any coach would. Last year we were talking about the same thing, too many backs in backfield and a few short months later, we are reading about Poteat moving over to RB due to emergencies.. Right now, we are deep but an injury here, proverbial Freshman Walls there, and before you know it, we are on RB#4..

I would love to see Whitehead get some carries like in the ND game last year. I know last year was last year, different circumstances but giving him a greater role on O shouldn't hurt his development on Defense..

2 springs? Are you sure about that? Did hall enroll early? Maybe he did, I got a bad memory. Can't imagine too many people proclaiming him anywhere on the depth chart last spring, only a few months from his knee injury. I'm confused on anyone speaking in certain terms of any of these backs, hall, moss, Ibrahim and even Conner. The only back we really know anything about is ollison and even he is only scratching the surface of his pitential.

-Moss- 150 YPG in high school

6'0 200lb
4.24 Shuttle
37 inch vertical
4.64 40 time, but claims a 4.51
39 Foot Powerball Toss
Good cut ability, Good Pass Blocker

-I'd like to know his squat and leg press numbers, because he can break tackles with power and make players miss, as he did in the spring game, he's legit. That shuttle and vertical are complete boss stats and NFL worthy. You can see the cut ability and explosiveness he has in the short game. Any player in the ranking system that has these types of numbers was ranked a 4 or 5 star player coming out of high school. Running track improved his 40 time, I dont know if its 4.5 good though. If he was reevaluated right now with those numbers above with the improved 40, he would have a mighty long offer sheet.

If everyone is healthy at RB, then one or more of the younger guys should get RS.

Curious if Canada ever runs some 2 back sets.. Not even sure if that's still a thing or some ancient set.. I mean 2 running backs, not a full back.

Conner's cancer free and will be a go from game one I assume. Ollison and Ibrahim will soak up the other carries. Barring injury, redshirt Moss or Hall.

How are you blowing a RB's season on limited carries? As an RB, if you are around as a 5th year RS SR, there is very little chance you do anything in the pros.

Great point about Hill...love discussion about team depth...how refreshing.

I'd like to see more of Moss but am hearing great things, could be a sleeper stud.
