With most bracketologists predicting Pitt to miss the tournament…

If a top 4 ACC team makes the semifinals 2 years in a row and is left out of the tournament, that would really be an indictment against the selection process given that the ACC has the best NCAA tournament record the last 2 years (21-10) while the Big 10 is 15-19 and MWC 5-8.

The ACC not having a NET gaming consultant is as much to blame. One thing they need to do is play more pre-Thanksgiving conference games to prepare for the tournaments and SEC Challenge. These arent the olden days. The ACC needs to be different. They are stuck in their old ways playing on Raycom (via CW), only playing Tue/Wed/Sat, and shoving the entire conference schedule into 9 weeks. Use the whole calendar. And game the friggin NET.

Or maybe the conference just isn't that good. UVA finished 3rd in the ACC. At one point, they ran off 8 straight conference wins. You've seen Virginia play?

Pitt finished 4th - lost at home to Mizzou, who went 0-18 in the SEC.

The ACC just needs to be better.
