Strange things going on with the women’s team. Like they scored 30 points in the 4th Q to come from behind and win. Like true freshman Washenitz, who is tiny, comes off the bench to score 11 points and grab 5 rebounds. Like true freshman Malcolm goes 3 for 3 from 3. Like Pitt shots 43% from 3 and overall…

Big test tomorrow with DePaul. Big test the next day with Maryland.

Oh, and Emy Hayford came in and in just a couple minutes had 3 turnovers. Coach is playing the freshmen a surprisingly high number of minutes (Washenitz 17; Malcolm 16; Strickland 11), but his apparent obsession with playing Emy continues to be puzzling…

Go Pitt.

Coach seemed fixated on transfer Lewis as well.

As the year goes on, all more experienced guards (save Harris?) will continue to lose more time to the freshmen.

Speaking of Emy, the
TO's are nothing new
with her. However I
thought she's actually
improved. This is her
fourth yr, and she's no
longer a train wreck.
Yet as you said, 3 TO's
in a few minutes.

I agree she, and also
Strothers and Clesca
will lose playing time
to the three frosh.
I really like Strickland,
she seems to have more
of an overall floor game.
However, ACC teams
all have this level and
more when it comes to
talent, both new and
experienced

So I was just looking at DePaul's results. They beat Maryland yesterday by 9. Their game before that they beat Miami by 15. Their two games before that were loses to Cleveland State and Northern Illinois, both by seven.

Those results seem incongruous with each other.

She played 12 minutes yesterday. She didn't play at all against Duquesne.

Blown out by DePaul in second half…was there they looked terrible

How many minutes did she play today?

He certainly isn't fixated on getting her playing time.

Yeah, I saw it pretty much
the same as you. We are
playing much better this
year. Today we ran into
some real talent as opposed
to the cupcakes we've
been feeding on so far
(except for Duquesne
from the A-10).

We reverted back to a
ridiculous number of T0's.,
20 to be exact. That is
plain out God Awful. Of
course Lewis didn't play
(injured?). Those TO's
were both self inflicted
(Hayford), and tough D
from Depaul. They had
at least two players
better than anyone we
had. 6'1" forward Morrow
had 23 pts and 16 Rebounds.
Homes with 21 pts. and 5-6
on her 3's. Rogers with
19 pts. They also handled
us on the boards 52-46.
They were better offensively
inside and outside, and did
not have a height advantage.

So it "seemed" like it for about five days three weeks ago?
"Seemed" pretty strong fixation

"Seemed" pretty strong fixation

If a coach going after a player in the portal that they recruited out of high school and saying nice things about that player means that they are strongly fixated on them, then there are lots of coaches who are strongly fixated on lots of players.

Who cares?

It really is a weird thing for you to be so strongly fixated on.

I made a throw away comment...you do what you do.
