Women Lose in OT

I didn't watch this game, saw the stats.
We lost to Akron in OT, 75-72. King was
strong with 25 pts, 14 rebunds. Malcolm
with 15, and 3-3 from threeland and 2-2
FTs. Haven't seen her the last few
games, but she's making an impact.
The stats showed us winning the
boards, and shooting well from the
field...FG's 50%, 3pt 43% ,63 FT's.
Akron hit a few more 3's and were
10-12 from the line, while we were
7-11. That was key, but also just as
important (my fav. stat) TO's We had
20 TO's! THAT just can't happen. This
after I commented on their 8 TO's
in their previous game. Akron is
2-3 at this point. Probably similar
to us based on this game and
their record.

Looked like a total collapse in the 4th Q. From the 8 minute mark, Akron outscored Pitt 22 to 8 to send it into OT. OUCH!

Good thing it’s a rebuilding year…

Well we didn't see it, so I'm guessing
that since we had 20 TO's, they pressed
us and we turned it over, thus the 22-8
result in the 4th Qtr.

They're not in this year's ACC/SEC challenge. Smart move by ESPN/ACC to exclude this year's team.

On a brighter note, Pitt Volleyball got a #1 seed and will have home court through the regional. Saw last night's selection show on ESPN.
