They looked good and
actually looked like
they knew what they
were doing. It's true
that Bryant was totally
over matched talent
wise, but Pitt played
as well as I've seen under
Coach White.
What impressed me the
most was how his
players attacked the
zone. They worked the
ball on the perimeter,
got it into the post,
collapsed the zone and
hit open threes. They
even got layups against
it. Textbook 101 offense.
Result.... 60% Fg and
52% threes. Johnson was
on fire.
So far Harris, King, Lewis,
Brown, and Johnson
not only start, but are
our best players. I like
the transfer 6'2" Gabby
Hutcherson, has Bball
skills and is smooth. She
seems to be more of a
perimeter player, isn't
physical and not a
strong rebounder.
There also is depth, but
as I've been saying the
lack of height inside will
be a major issue in ACC.
Brown and King are our
only inside threats and
they will be mismatched.
Anyway, good performance
today.
