Yeah, ND did blitz us, but we did show some improving Bball on and off
throughout this game. End of 1st Qtr we were only down by 1...22-21.
Miles and her team mates are on a whole different level than we are.
They're #2 in the country for a reason while we're stuck with A-10 talent.
Miles made uncontested shots, contested shots, was 8-13 on her threes,
and even had 7 rebounds. Not bad for an obvious All American. Our ex,
Liatu King starts and had 11 pts. Man could we use her, but on this ND
team, she's not elite like some of her team mates. That's how good they are.
For those who prior to ACC play, questioned (and I was one of them) how
good Faye would be in league play....question answered. She had another
double-double with 23 pts and 16 rebounds. IMO All ACC recognition
should happen for her. Marley with 13 pts, hustled and is showing repeated
shotmaling ability. Johnson with 15 pts is a good athlete and has her
moments, but also goes 4-16 from the field and 0-4 on her threes.. We show
good intensity and hustle, but the difference in top programs and Pitt is
as wide as the Grand Canyon. We might get another win or two but as we all
know, Verdi needs to hit the portal hard, and get a major upgrade in talent
in here.
