Would you rather have Dixon come back next year or have Brandin Knight?

At least Brandin would provide a little interest in Pitt Hoops again, as opposed to a coach from a conference most fans have never heard of. That's not a good reason to hire a coach, of course. But I am seriously worried about finding an outsider with a pedigree, and a worthwhile profile. (But heck, maybe we can bring in Steve Peterson to lead the search committee and find the next Ben Howland).
No thanks.

So it looks like a couple posters didn’t realize this thread is a year and a half old and just got resurrected.

But in any case, this resurrected thread reinforces how good and enjoyable last Pitt BB season was!!!

Indeed you are right!!

My comments about Brandin at the beginning of the thread were based largely in the fact that two years ago, there was very little interest at all in Pitt hoops, even beyond the lack of success.

Even for the first half of this year though, the Pete was still largely a ghost town. But it was certainly glorious to watch the Panthers flinging threes to defeat the Orange in a mostly filled Pete in a game that really mattered.

Here’s hoping Jeff can keep it going. Success next year, like another NCAA tournament, is a far from certain, but it’s much, much closer that how it looked when the thread was started.

Definetly not Dixon, “surely you jest” real dumb thread, get over him
If capel left we should be happy Dixon came back. The way some of you drag a guy who is probably one of the top 20 current coaches is absolutely astounding.
