I have a WPIAL football game scheduling question and questions about basketball too.
For a non-section game, does the visiting team get any of the gate? Enough to cover expenses? A percentage of the gate? I wouldn't think there's always a home-and-home series set up for those games. For example, Plum is playing at Highlands this year, a 5-A versus 4-A match-up.
Same for basketball if there isn't a home-and-home arrangement for a non-section game? What about when it's a playoff game at a neutral site? What's the WPIAL's take? How much does each school get and what's the host school's take?
Just curious as to how that all was divided up. I figured someone in here would know how that works. Thank you.
